I'd imagine the Cena haters are tap dancing in the nude, happy that Cena's movie flopped.
Damn though. Didn't expect that kind of opening.

The problem is that they shoved the movie too far down people's throats that it backfired. it drove people away instead of bringing people in. when you waste TV time for 2 video packages for a movie, it's more liable to piss off than interest people.

I think I saw the entire movie by piecing together the 6 weeks worth of promos that they showed on WWE programming. I've seen the entire movie too after watching Die Hard with a Vengeance. THANK YOU! I kept saying that it's funny how the guy who directed Die Hard 2 is making a movie exactly like Die Hard 3. John Cena and Bruce Willis had to do all kinds of games and puzzles with bombs to save people and stuff. And they have a black partner! Same damn thing. And yeah, I've seen the promos everywhere on USA and other channels that I don't want to see it at all.

Seriously, you'd think they'd learn by now. Whenever their stars are in successful movies, they're big-name movies that the stars play supporting roles in. If they want their wrestlers to be in successful movies, they need to be in the Get Smart and The Scorpion King vein.

Memo to WWE, just do Direct to DVD movies. It might be smarter, i mean if a heavily hyped JOHN CENA movie cant bring in Hollywood blockbuster money...might be a good idea to do straight to dvd ones That's where they make a killing. The Marine, See No Evil and even The Condemned did excellent in DVD rentals and sales. People don't want to go to the movies to see a WWE film, but they'll rent it or buy it on DVD. The only exception to the DVD thing is Mr Kennedy, but then again Kennedy isn't the draw that Austin, Cena or hell even Kane is.

What did Vince expect?
When he gave away half the film for free on Raw. People like to be surprised Vince not spoiled.

Um, is anyone really suprised by this? I mean REALLY suprised? Not even close. I hope this will convince Vince that making movies is not a good idea, and that he should save his money. But I know better.

They should have had RD and blade do commentary for the whole movie. that would've raised ticket sales. about a whole $120 more, but still.

BoxOfficeMojo.com reader poll:
When will you see '12 Rounds?'
56.6% Never 21.6% On DVD 8.3% On TV 7.2% Sometime in Theaters 6.3% Opening Weekend
I'd probably see it on TV just so I can laugh at the unintentional comedy, just like I did with the Marine.

I would totally love to go out to Indy for Wrestlemania/Wrestlecrap weekend, rent out an entire theater to see 12 Rounds, and just have them crack on it the entire time MST3K style. But waiting until it's out on bootleg DVD * would probably be cheaper. *Kids, don't ever bootleg.**Unless it's 12 Rounds.

I saw it, it did rip off a lot of movies, not movie cliches... but actual movies.

Shoving Cena down throats failed to get a good buyrate for Survivor Series and it failed to get the movie decent money. People just don't really care for Cena these days
