Lately I've been playing a lot of NES games. Two series which I would love to see brought back would have to be Battletoads and Adventure Island.
I'd LOVE to see the speedbike level from Battletoads redone on a new platform. ;D
So, as the thread says, "What Game Franchises Would You Like to See Return?"

Psi-Ops... dear sweet Huehuecoytl that game was SO good. Lot of potential in the occult/action game militarized freaks genre.
Conker is another good choice.

Ogre Battle. I'd kill for a new Ogre Battle game. And I'd kill Emoticon for the copy of that game. Then someone would kill me and before you know it, the game is very real. LIBERATION!!!

They even have the perfect set-up for a game, based on the ending of Ogre Battle 64, which is what makes the lack of a follow-up for it so damned frustrating.

PS3 just came out with a kind of first person shooter game that uses telekinesis as a weapon. Not the same thing, but probably as close as you're going to get.

I never got through Person Of Lordly Caliber, (lol at the thought of some poor Japanese game developer saying that) I only rented it once.

A new Arch-Rivals might be kind of fun. Make it a DL game from the XBOX Arcade/PS Store.

I never got through Person Of Lordly Caliber, (lol at the thought of some poor Japanese game developer saying that) I only rented it once. There are 3 things they could use from it to spawn a sequel. One is the Holy Lodis Empire. It's set up as being somewhat antagonistic, with a few of the game's main villains being part of it, but the game ends without showing a true conflict between it and Palatinus. The other two come from the "bad" ending of the game. It features not only an invasion by barbarians who conquer Palatinus, but it also features the rebirth of the villain from the SNES Ogre Battle. Pretty much any of these could be used have a sequel... but we've never gotten one. And that really, really blows.
