Anyone watching the tennis? Have my BBC iPlayer open here in the office, watching Mathieu vs. Berdych - wish I was out watching them in person.

I have seen a bit but I will watch more next week when I've heard of both the players in the match. More importantly the veterans doubles start Saturday so I'm hoping Bahrami is there as his matches are hilarious. He has an interesting life story too, he's overcome more odds than John Cena. forums.iransportspress.com/showthread.php?t=7717

In an ideal world, all sportsmen would be like Bahrami.

I like that we can choose which court we watch, but it would be nice if one of those choices was something other than tennis. Not a fan.
Come on Tim

Elena Baltacha is in the process of bottling it.

He might be a miserable bastard, but he's Scottish so I have to support Andy Murray.

For some reason you can't do the interactive thing here in the US so you're stuck with whatever match they are showing. It's like in the old days with the BBC before interactive, when they would show a match with some Brit who was ranked 374th in the world but wouldn't show previous finalists. But there is no Sue Barker over here! Thank f***.

I'm bummed Maria Sharapova lost early. Those sounds she makes are awesomely over the top. She's like the Taylor Rain of tennis.

With Nadal and Monfils both out, I've had a hard time getting the urge to watch. HOWEVER, since Roddick was in Nadal's quarter/bracket/whatever, that gives him an actual shot this year. He's freaked me out already today...I hope he can make it after Blake flamed out like he always does.
And I'm shocked that Del Potro lost so early too. Damn. He's definitely going to take the mantle of the top 3 in the next few years.

I'm backing Federer and Hantuchova. Federer's just so damn good to watch, the man's an absolute artist when he plays. It's a real shame Nadal's not there, I'd happily sit through the same final again.
And Daniela, she's just got a ton of heart. Which is why watching her facing the sheer almighty power of Serena is going to be frightening.
