sounded like normal run of the mill crap we get all the time... in other words matches that left you pleasantly surprised.
For me, my favorite was Jamie Knoble vs Vladimir Kozlov. I thought it was going to be a bland squash match but instead Knoble MADE Kozlov a monster he proceeded to put on a match that made us feel like MAYBE he could pull it off and get the win. It was easily the best match Kozlov has ever been in (in my opinion) and a sterling example of how good Jaime is at making people look good.

Orton/Batista from Armageddon. Randy was in the middle of his big time rise since his return from injury, and it was probably Batista's best match since Punk at the Bash.

I can't even remember who else was in the match, but it was last year before WM, and it was Carlito vs someone else, I remember thinking 'eh' but then loving the match.

The in crowd vs Rey and Bourne from last year, it wasn't your typical WWE tag match.

Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin on ECW? I still remember that one. It went for like 15 minutes with tons of false finishes. It was great.

Primo vs The Miz on ECW recently. I expected it to be pretty good, but it turned out to be great.
Also, the Miz/Morrison vs Yang/Funaki match from ECW last year. I expected pretty much a squash match, but it was a competitive and exciting 15-minute match.

This weeks ECW, Morrison vs Bourne.
I figured it would be a 3 minute spotfest ending with a Shooting Star... instead it was like half the show and was freaking awesome.

Just before John Morrison was suspended, he dropped the ECW Title to Punk in Punk's first title win. One of my top 10 matches I've ever seen.

Mysterio vs Noble a year and a half ago or so; both were allowed to go out and put on a nice tv match with decent time. Best I'd seen Jamie be allowed to look in forever.

Christian and Chris Jericho from WM20. I had no expectations from that match, despite the fact I love both of them as performers, I just thought their storyline going in was pretty bland, and they ended up putting forth a great story throughout.

THAT HBK/Shelton match.
I was expecting a couple minutes of action, then Shelton eats a Sweet Chin Music.

THAT HBK/Shelton match. I was expecting a couple minutes of action, then Shelton eats a Sweet Chin Music. Shelton received a Sweet Chin Music while mid-air attempting a springboard clothesline across the entire ring. Not half-way; ALL THE WAY. That match is on the Raw 15th Anniversary set, and if you re-watch it DON'T watch the move; watch the crowd's reaction. I haven't seen a crowd stand up in a wave like that since Foley's first fall of the cell.

No I know, I'm saying I was expecting a quick little squash where HBK tunes the band, actually lands the SCM, and gets a pin.
