The more I'm listening to this on ESPN and the way they keep wording this it makes me think that the murder/suicide rumor might have some legs to it....I hope not...

I'm not really a huge football fan, but I've heard McNair's name before. May he rest in peace.

The scary thing for me....since we are talking about potential for a Benoit situation.....is that McNair has had multiple concussions and has been known to come back to early.
Add to that the fact that the NFL has had a huge denial over the effects of concussions and this may turn out to be a huge crapstorm for the NFL (such as Beniot and steroids was for the WWE).

Hearing sources say that McNair had just filed for divorce and was in his girlfriend's condo downtown. No links to confirm -- just want to provide as much info as possible.

Unfortunately didn't get to see that legendary Superbowl live as I wasn't an NFL fan then, but having it seen it countless times on NFL Network, McNair had one of the gutsiest performances I've ever seen. That season he had in 2003 was sheer magic to watch. Still can't get over the fact that he was gunned down in downtown Tennessee. That'd be like Montana getting gunned down in downtown San Francisco or Mario in Miami RIP

For whoever asked, he played his college ball at Alcorn State. ow I remember that I don't know. I was stunned to hear this earlier. He was a very good QB for a significant amount of time. He was known as a tough as nails QB who would play through injuries. McNair also seemed like a good guy off the field too.

Whether he makes the Hall or not, he should make the Tough SOB hall of fame. Plus, I too remember watching the Super Bowl live as he was one yard short of possibly leading the Titans to a Lombardi trophy.
RIP to a great player and a stand-up guy.

I really don't like where this is going. . Me either. McNair being shot in the head makes me think it could be suicide, not that all gunshot wounds to the head are suicide but it just has me worried. I hope that's not the case. No matter what, the whole thing is just tragic. McNair was one of the toughest SOB's to ever play football. He played through tons of injuries that cut his career short. My thoughts are with every one involved with this situation.

Did you guys even read the article?
This is just tragic and shocking. I always liked McNair, he seemed like a guy that would run through a wall if it was best for the team.

This is ridiculous. I wasn't McNair's biggest fan or anything, but it's a really bummer to hear about this. The last week or so of news makes me want to just hide in a bunker and never come out. Everything is too depressing.
