They just said during a live press conference that he was shot multiple times while she was shot once in the head. The gun was found near her body. IF it is a murder-suicide, she committed it. Man this really, really blows.
R.I.P. Steve McNair.

I was reading they believe it's a double homicide made to look like a murder/suicide.
Here are some random floating rumors/details out there which may or may not be true...
Broadway.
The driver and co-owner, Sahel Kazemi, was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test. The car was a 2007 black Cadillac Escalade.
Earlier today, a black Escalade was towed from the condominium complex on Second Avenue where McNair and a female who has not yet been identified by police were found dead this afternoon.
It is not clear whether this is the same vehicle involved in the DUI arrest.
Steve McNair is married to Mechelle McNair, who police have confirmed is not the victim.
NashvillePost.com sources say that at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday morning, McNair was celebrating the holidays at the Blue Moon Restaurant near the John C. Tune Airport.
According to the same NashvillePost.com sources, a white woman in her early 20s, around 5-foot-4, approached McNair at the restaurant and accused him of slipping her a “roofie” a year ago.
The woman then told McNair, according to sources, that her boyfriend was going to kill him.
All I can say is I seriously hope his wife didn't kill him and his girlfriend.

For some reason, she looks scary.........someone you just can't trust. That picture has funky lighting too... All I'm wondering is if his wife is considered a prime suspect because that was the first thing I thought.

The police department of Nashville confirmed that she is not a suspect but are not ruling out on that yet.

Man, this is all getting so snorked up. I'm not one to buy into this whole thing about celebrity deaths being linked to something greater, but the last 10 of so days (3 weeks for wrestling fans) haven't been very good in terms of people who entertained us in one media or another dying of various causes. It just flat out sucks when a person dies of anything besides natural causes anyway, but especially when it was a person you felt you "knew", even in the tiniest of manners.
As for Steve McNair, I've always respected him as a QB and as a gutsy SOB, especially after the hell he gave my Rams in the Super Bowl almost 10 years ago. Around 2003, the running joke was that McNair could probably be in a coma and still be listed as probable on the injury report because the man didn't know how to stay down, and had probably been born with the will to overcome any mere injury he suffered. The fact that he came from a D-II school and was still highly touted spoke volumes about his abilities, and he backed them up from the day he laced 'em up with Houston until his last play as a Raven.
RIP Steve McNair. He's probably rocking the powder blues right now and showing Heaven how he got the name "Air McNair".

pisses me off so much... having met the guy 4 or 5 times at my sister's bar/restaurant, he's one of the nicest people I've ever talked to. He knew my sister by name and me as her brother, this just saddens me to no end.... R.I.P. buddy

RIP, he seemed like a genuinely nice guy I really hope for his legacy's sake that he was killed in cold blood. Man that last sentence sounds so wrong.

Crazy....

Well, it is good that McNair is the one who did not go crazy. Not sure how the NFL would have handled a crapstorm situation like what would have happened if it was McNair who went crazy.

As a Baltimore Raven fan, I only got to watch Steve on our side for 2 years, (And he was hurt most of the second) but I liked him even as a Titan for his Tough as Nails Style of Football. I wish his family the best. If I recall correctly, he was at a RAW I attended in Baltimore, in 2006. I remember Edge cutting a promo to Ravens fans saying "Your seasons over once McNair Goes down". A sad day indeed

As a longtime Titans fan, this is a huge blow. I wore his jersey at least twice a week to school. RIP Air McNair

Bah. I was an Oiler fan that remained a fan of them after they moved to TN and became the Titans (Until Houston got a new football team, at least). And much of my childhood football fandom revolved around McNair being at the helm of my fav team.
