I have no problem believing that they offered it and he turned it down, and as his agent knows more about it than any of us here, I'm inclined to believe it. I'll take the more official sources over random internet speculation.

If they have high blood alcohol content then they're turning up pissed, which is entirely different to putting alcohol on the wellness policy. If a wrestler urned up drunk now I'm quite sure there'd be somethnig done.
And if you aren't gonig to provide any evidence then I nor logically anyone else is going to believe you, as you can just claim anything you want with no proof. It doesn't look remotely credible. Either provide sources or don't claim to know anything and just state a pure opinion.

CLARIFICATION ON THE TIMELINE OF KURT ANGLE'S CLAIMS ABOUT WWE AND VINCE MCMAHON IN REGARD TO THE WWE WELLNESS POLICY by Mike Johnson @ 2009-05-01 12:51:01
It's interesting to note that since the Miami Herald article on Kurt Angle and his claims regarding the WWE Wellness program was released today, I've heard from a few sources within WWE and one former WWE performer that one of the main points missed in claims by both sides was the timeline of Angle's comments about "Vince McMahon refusing" to allow him to go to rehab.
Several people I spoke to today noted that the series of events Angle always refers to in interviews actually took place in 2004, well before the current version of the WWE Wellness Program was instituted in the wake of Eddie Guerrero's passing in late 2005. So, that is where the Angle claims of Vince McMahon allegedly telling Angle to rehab on the road, etc. come from.
It's interesting to note that is also around the time WWE started the "Kurt Angle Invitational" gimmick with Angle working short three minute matches on TV.
The 2006 issues between Angle and WWE that led to his departure from the company were an entirely different set of circumstances. None of Angle's claims regarding Vince McMahon actually relate to that time period where the company eventually released him from his contractual obligations, paving the way for Angle to sign with TNA several months later.

I'm surprised she called WWE before 911, to be honest. Yeah, exactly what I thought lol, if your husband is lying unconcious you don't call his employer before seeking medical help unless there is something truly fishy going on

Makes sense to me, it's happened before, people just aren't thinking clearly is all. Sometimes you'll never know if you're not in that EXACT same position.

I don't think much of Vince, but the idea that he would flat out refuse to let someone who desperately needed it go to rehab is absurd. Bad press, for one thing. Kurt is an olympic gold medalist. Maybe Eddie could die and it wouldn't get too much reaction, but Kurt would get a ton of mainstream press. I think WWE may have turned a blind eye to Kurt's issues for a lot longer than they should have, but in 2006,when he got really bad they couldn't do it anymore. WWE turn a blind eye to ALOT of things- And how do you know all of this? What is your affiliation with WWE?

I mean if you aren't going to reveal your sources, then what's the point of even saying anything?

It's just a little suspicious when somebody insists they know more backstage business than anyone around here and makes claims without any proof whatsoever. I mean, if you say where you got your facts from, it'd be different. Crediting is always good. But if you just go around mentioning how you know all of these insider facts without backing them up or explaining how you know them, then you should expect people to question your actions.

So basically....according to that at least.....it was a mutual seperation and WWE wanted Angle to get clean but he refused and went to TNA? Maybe Angle really is crazy.... Roughly 20 years from now I picture Kurt as the Iron Sheik of his generation. He'll be going on all the shoot shows bad mouthing his fellow former pro wrestlers, talking about his drug problems, usings lots of profantity, and in essence acting crazy.

People are bringing at the alcohol issue and the wellness policy states with alcohol that it isn't banned, why should it, but no talent whatsoever is allowed to drink alcohol at least 12 hours before a show so there is no danger of wrestlers wrestling drunk or hungover.

Personally, I have no problem believing anything that Kurt Angle says. If he makes a statement that contradicts one he made previously, they are somehow both true. DAMN true.

Angle is doing a really nice job of smoothing things out..TNA contract is about up...makes sense.
Personally all I read during the period that Angle was released, fired, quit whatever. Was that he was basically so far out of his f***ing mind that no could convince him of anything. Some people said the WWE got rid of him for fear that he would die on their watch if he stayed on their schedule without going to rehab...
At the time numerous people also speculated that he turned down rehab because he didn't want it associated with his name because of who he was.
