Will we ever see the dancing Brit back in the Land of the Extreme?
More aptly, do you care?
Although it's hard to tell from a series of three minute TV matches and he hasn't been on TV in a while, IIRC, fuelling fears among the large DJ Gabriel fan community about his possible future release, do you see anything in him?

I like him personally. He showcased himself pretty well in his first few squash matches, but like WWE seems to do with most new guys, he sort of faded into obscurity.
I reckon the dancing gimmick could get him over, he just needs someome to feud with - however I'm struggling to think who to be honest.

well, if he ever gets fired, he could always join the British Invasion in TNA...

I like his in ring work but, the rest...not so much. Hell, just team him with Burchill and Regal and send them after the tag belts.

Bring back Das Wunderkind and remake the Dancing Fools. Will most fans mark? I doubt it. But I can guarantee you I certainly would.

I like him. The character grew on me after they established he was a face.

I saw his stuff in OVW, and he was always pretty good. I was a little bit iffy on him using some of Claudio Castognoli's moves, because when watching him wrestle, I didn't remember seeing some of the stuff he did, but he left OVW a bit before they cut ties with WWE. I remember his stuff mostly from Terminal Velocity with Chet the Jett.
The gimmick is bad. I think it might be the case where, creative had something for him, and had a vision, but it's also his job to go up to creative, or somebody and say that, hey, the gimmick isn't working, is it possible to try something else, or tweak it in another direction. And I'm not sure if he wants to rock the boat, and just wants to be a passenger, even though he probably wouldn't rock the boat, as Mick Foley in his book attempted to tweak the Mankind character even before it got started. Going up to Vince and saying, you dumbass, why are you making me dance around like an idiot, probably wouldn't get him over very well, but just say, hey, I don't think the gimmick's working, I'm trying different ways to get a reaction, and I was wondering if I could try another direction.
With not being able to get over, I still don't feel that much sympathy for him, because at least he was getting an opportunity. I bring this up before, but I wish Shawn Spears, Jay Bradley and Colt Cabana got the tv time and the opportunity DJ Gabriel did, because they probably would have ran with it. Because all three are much more talented then DJ Gabriel. It will be interesting to see what comes of him though.
Also, after reading over my post, I am the king of "run-on" sentences.

He's okay, but I think I remember somebody using his finisher as a regular move during Backlash (Christian, maybe?) - that can't be a good sign.

They figured out they mistakenly gave him a gimmick instead of making him another bland new callup.
After realizing their mistake, he was quickly removed from TV.

When your finisher's a middle rope uppercut, it's best to say 'sorry, try again'.

I like him. He is talented and has a great look. Just hope they don't cut him. Would like him to see get paired with Burchill though, if just for a gimmick change and a British stable forming.
Alicia Fox is the one people probably paid more attention to whilst she was still his valet. While she isn't a big name by any stretch of the imagination, their separation is ever so vaguely reminiscent of what they did with Essa Rios and Lita...Lita went solo and then teamed with Matt and Jeff when they saw more star potential in her while Rios quickly faded. Fox will never probably reach the same level as Lita, but I get the feeling they drafted her to Smackdown! to get more exposure on the number 2 brand. Hopefully Gabriel won't have the same fate as Essa though.

When I saw Christian steal his finisher in his match with Swagger at Backlash, I knew it was bad news for DJ.

I'm a huge fan of his. Dude seriously impresses me with both his dancing and his ring work. Hopefully, we haven't seen the end of him in at least some capacity in the WWE.

He's the new Ricky Ortiz. Though WWE forgot Ricky Ortiz still hasn't been released.

I would like an angle where Finlay takes him under his wing and turns him into "Jack Gabriel, wrestling badass". And then you can have him turn on Finlay, or Finlay get tired of Gabriel and beat the snork out of him.

The dancing gimmick removed any chance he had of being good.
