Am I the only who's actually grown to like Return of the Jedi overtime? I don't really mind that there was a happy ending for the characters after all they went through in Empire, and it concludes a lot of the main stories and themes fairly well.
And yeah there's Ewoks. But truth be told, after seeing hooded (possibly rodent) creatures collecting junk in the dessert, a giant slug as a gangster, etc, some bears in treetop cities fighting the Imperial forces, doesn't exactly seem so outrageously absurd.
Overall is the movie as good as the first two? No, but I never saw it as a an extreme drop in quality like so many else have.

Your a better man than I. I tried once, and had to get pretty drunk to make Phantom Menace bearable, in fact so drunk that I ended up sound asleep before Clones was even halfway through.
I've watched the OT in one day more than a few times though and spent a whole weekend playing and completing both KOTOR games. I like Star Wars Marathons as much as the next guy, but I couldn't do the six in one day.
