If they had nothing that linked them together in terms of their attire, music or anything, then it could be a poor mans something or other.
But I think it's awesome, and one of the reasons is because they all dress like they are in the Mafia, and their music sounds like it too. It just makes them stand alone IMO.

It's more along the lines of the Millionaire's Club than anything else in my opinion. Although it differs enough to be original. I mean, how many other stables are built entirely on World Champions? As long as they don't expand too much, I think they have a good thing going with it.
For once, Russo has a good idea he's executing fairly well.

What will really cap this off is if they start doing Mafia related things in their segments. They already have it going well with the way they dress, the sunglasses is a great look. Now if they start taking out hits on people - perhaps using the fact that they are 'respected' by some chicken crap heels so much that they can get their dirty work done for them. Then you can have a few honorary members that do work for the MEM without having them join and watering down the concept.
What else do Mafia members do that could be carried over into wrestling?

I think it's more of a Horsemen tribute as the original group was a bunch of guys that came together for a common goal. I stand by my claim since they've had all 5 members start dressing in suits.

Every stable is a rip-off of the Horsemen as far as I'm concerned. That includes you Los Boricuas.

Why do you constantly find insulting, petty-sounding ways in which to bring Triple H into discussions that he has absolutely nothing to do with? I'm always curious what causes that kind of disdain for another person. Did he wrong you in some way? Ummm... DX was a stable of wrestlers who acted like juveniles, found strength in numbers, spraypainted their logo as a way of marking their territory and eventually took over the company. Oh yeah; and Vince created them as his own, personal, yet slightly different version of the nWo. And, compared to WCW and Ted Turner at the time, Vince was a poor man. So, your man-crush on Terra Ryzin' aside; WHY am I not allowed to make this comparison? For the record, let it be shown that you bring Triple H up in quite a many of your corny posts, regardless of whether he needs mentioning. That would lead one to believe that you have some sort of obsession, crush or otherwise, with the man. As for the comparisons, D-X rose to prominence by finding strength in two guys and a muscular chick. Not exactly the same as the NWO, which from the outset was three and quickly grew nearly three dozen. The company takeover didn't occur until Triple H married Stephanie in storyline, which long after the original D-X rise and the NWO fall. In fact, taking over the federation never seemed to be D-X's objective. Clowning people and protecting HBK's belt always seemed the more primary focus. Also, the spraypaint didn't come until much later, and possibly not until the reunion in 2006. Finally, you can feel free to make any comparison you like. Making them in the manner in which you did this, however, leaves you wide open to criticism.
