It's from a legal standpoint, it doesn't mean they really can confuse them. I just don't understand the legality in this. Both use the word Raw in their names. Are they not allowed to use the same word (even if both product names are different)? Both have three words and both have the word "Raw," at the end.

Are they not allowed to use the same word (even if both product names are different)? If the nutrition company filed the trademarks for say, sports marketing, nutritional supplements and, porn for example and WWE comes along, uses the trademark for sports (as RAW could be classified) and tries to trademark it for that purpose, they'll lose because the other company acted first. I think.

Both have three words and both have the word "Raw," at the end. As you said, both have three words. That sets them apart. If I put the word Super into my screen name, is either me or you going to have to change our screen name because both have the word super in it?

The rapper The Game or the movie The Game, starring Michaels Douglas? The rapper and I think he actually tried the same thing this company did, trademark protest, and lost. On an unrelated note, I just lost the game.

This is getting ridiculous and I wonder if the World Wildlife Fund and "In the Raw" just wait for a downtime in their companies to sue the WWE, I mean look how long it took for both of them. There is the world wildlife fund didn't know about the excistence of the WWF, I mean that trial should have happened almost 20 years before it did. McMahon Sr. dropped the extra W in I believe 1979, or somewhere around there. So they didn't realize the WWF existed until after Hulk Hogan left and they had Saturday Night's Main Event, had Saturday morning cartoons, and merchandise that was advertised all over network and cable television? This "In the Raw" garbage is just as ridiculous if not more, because it isn't even the same name or initials, it's just similar. Also atleast the World Wildlife Fund is a respected company that does good things for the world, and it probably did get annoying when they used the WWF abbreviation people would associate it with grown men pretending to fight each other in speedos. This is just some crap that a jerk sells at three am to insomniacs with no life. If WWE loses this trial I will be pretty upset.

Vince Mcmahon's Monday Night Smile Time Family Friendly Extravagatorium. Smile Time? That means Puppet Triple H vs Puppet Randy Orton. I would mark hardcore... especially if it led to someone talkign about 'Wee puppet HHH' during commentary.

Wait so WWE sues this company for using the word RAW in its product name (Which is a stupid idea in of itself) but the courts side with the company saying people can distinguish between the 2.......Fair enough, I agree Now the company may turn around and try to stop WWE using RAW because...........? Other way around. The other company filed a protest against WWE's use of RAW and won as the Canadians said it was too confusing. Now the other company can sue. Ah Link I first read it on had it the way I said, had me all discombobulated Fair Enough ............Still stupid, Canadian Intellectual Property Office must not have much respect for Canadians if they think they can get the 2 confused Also I'd like to nominate WWE Uncooked for RAWs Canadian name

If the WWF v WWF trial, it wasn't because the initials were the same, it was because both WWFs had an agreement over how they used the names, and McMahon went back on his word. Which is why he lost the trial.

'In The Raw'? What kind of stupid trademark is that? Sounded like a nudist colony slogan to me.

Instead of lawsuits I think CEOS should have to Rochambeau each other for trademarks.
