Which wrestlers did you think at the time would become huge stars for a company, but ended up having a not very noteworthy stint? This can be for any organization: WWF/E, WCW, ECW, TNA, etc.......Here's a few of mine.
Texas Tornado- He had made a huge name for himself in Texas, and was brought in to the WWF with high hopes. As a child, I thought he'd eventually be on level with Hogan or Warrior. Ended up not working out that way.
Ludvig Borga- Really thought he made a great heel and thought he would have had a better run than what he did.
"Heavy Metal" Van Hammer- Really enjoyed him as a kid. Apparently had a pretty lucrative contract with WCW when he signed back in '91.

Tom Zenk
Barry Windam was probably the saddest of all people to never meet their FULL potential
I expected Johnny Jeter to have a singles run after the sprit sqaud thing but i dind't expect him to be huge

Every year for a while, I kept saying "This is Jerelle Clark's year!" Then I stopped, because nothing ever seems to go Jerelle Clark's way.

Kenny Dykstra. Jesus, I honestly thought he'd be WWE Champ by now and break Orton's record for youngest champ.

Nailz. I really thought they were gonna make him a top heel. I don't know if the rumor is true but if it is, he flubbed that up.

Rick Fuller. I kept waiting for them to put him in a program that was going to take him out of Thunder Jobber territory.
Also, a crapload of local guys from PCW. Completely expected a raid on guys like Gabe Roach, Jared Steele, Mike Foxx, etc. by ROH, TNA and others. Instead, they ended up only snagging Shadow (Lance Hoyt)...ugh.

Ahmed Johnson comes to mind. They were building him up as "The Next Big Thing" and then his constant injuries and bad booking kicked in. I don't blame the WWF though, they opened the door for him, and he didn't want to walk through it.

Adam Bomb.
Awesome gimmick, Clark had a good creepy look.
But for whatever reason he wasn't booked well. And I guess he couldn't wrestle that well either.
And finally, apparently he didn't get along with the Kliq, so that's that.

Alex Wright in ECW, right before his Beryln run. They showed him at events, sporting the haircut and the look, and refereed to him as Wright but he never (to my knowledge) wrestled with them.
I thought that Victoria would have been THE WWE woman's heel, but she settled into a very reliable supporting role.
Christopher Daniels, I thought, would be playing a much, much bigger role in TNA at this point. If not one of the biggest heels, then certainly as one of the stalwart protectors of the company.
And, I thought Jerry Lynn and Raven could have been both used much, much better in WWE. I'd have thought that Jerry would have at least been able to get a job as an agent or trainer.
To this day, I have always, always wanted a Brad Armstrong turn where he became a member of the Four Horsemen. I wish he had a longer series of matches with Arn Anderson and gotten his notice, storyline wise, as I think he had all the tools.

Bobby Lashleys the main one who stands out for me. I had this guy down as headlining wrestlemania in the future. Also Elijah Burke I thought would go on to be a future main eventer.
