Well, it looks like The Fight Network (formerly The Wrestling Channel) has gone down for good in the UK. Shame as even though wrestling got squeezed out more and more in favour of boxing and low-rent MMA. It was still the only place you could watch ROH on TV. Wrestling at the Chase, Memphis, FMW. Hell, even WEW at night was good for a laugh.
Also it was the home of LDN, which was putting out new programming every week. Now while I found it's straight-laced "pretend wrestling is a real sport" vibe a bit off-putting. It's sad to see a UK promotion that managed to get on TV just have their distribution yanked out from under them.

tbh it was a dead horse.
They should have took it back to its roots, Or helped the UK scene by giving more feds a weekly deal, That would have been great as it would help make stars here and maybe get a few names over.

When they lost TNA to Bravo, I pratically knew that it wasn't going to be around much longer.
TNA was the one thing really keeping them individual, especially considering they were showing the old 3 hour PPV shows too. But Bravo just had a more tempting offer and it was also better for the viewer (TNA shows 3 days after America, TNA PPVs 3 days after America) so for me, it was inevitable.

other than world of sport and the odd ROH, i hardly even watched it recently. MMA, when not done well, can be the most mind numbing thing on earth, and unfortunately that was most of what TWC had towards the end.

I almost agree entirely but I preferred it on TWC, I'd rather have an early morning slot to record a PPV from even if it meant getting them a few days later. Anyway it's a shame, I'll miss ROH even if I didn't watch it very often by the end due to the censorship. The slight hope of getting Chikara on TV has now gone, no honey wrestling either.

I can see that, definatly. It's just from an overall perspective, it made the public feel a bit more alligned with the Americans so they could easily wait 3 days for a PPV instead of a week and then wait another week for an Impact that they missed out on because the PPV wasn't shown yet.

No word on whether or not they're nacho-friendly too.

Yay more room for MORE MMA promotions. YAWN.
I used to be a big UFC fan but the overhype of it plus the saturation of the market with all the other MMA promotions starting up has turned me against it after 2 years of being a fan.

I hear rumours that it's not quite as dead as people think. Also, the UK feds with TV deals thing only really worked for LDN, and that's because Sanjay Bagga is as savvy as he is stingy - man supplies good sandwiches, apparently. I'm a big IPW:UK fan, and their show sucked, the FWA show took a big downward turn too, and the less said about the way RQW as a standalone organisation turned out, the better.

That channel was awesome! I was hoping it'd be around when I moved to England. In like ten years.
