Okay, still got a lot of guys on the roster with nothing to do, but still have some premise. Why not just put them together? sometimes they gel and become more than a makeshift tag team.
Who do you think would work well with each other?
I heard Venis/Parisi would be good. I think they're going with Venis/Viscera though.
Striker/Eugene? Sped wrestler and wrestling teacher? Why not?
Damajah (undertaker/fallen angel knockoff supposedly) and Kane? Maybe...
Spanky/London again? (although I wasn't paying attention the first time).

Makeshift tag teams are the easiest way to get two guys back on TV. Sometimes it works, like Rico and Haas who were getting quite over. Most of the time, it's mediocre.

eh, they need to at least make an attempt at creating a tag division, even if it is just repackaging guys that everyone already knew or the heat/velocity crew.
Haas/Holly were suprisingly good together.

If they want that to work, then they actually have to make an active policy change and, shocking, I realize, put some emphasis on the midcarders and tag teams.
Makeshift tag teams are not a bad thing; it's a good way to get two guys over at once, if done well, and, again, if it's done wisely, it's possible to put together some very dynamic pairings that could really revitalize the division, in any company.
That said, again, that would also call for the WWE to stop focusing on the same five or so people every show, which, at least going by the write-ups I read, they don't seem very willing to do.

Striker/Eugene would be a good way to give Striker some personality in the WWE world and perhaps save Eugene's character. If they teacher/student thing doesnt fly, or once it gets old, I think they'd be funny if they did Strikers indy gimmick of imitating old wrestlers. It would fit in with Eugene's character as he already imitates moves and mannerisms of many stars.

Kane's suffered from makeshift tag-team-itis constantly because now that he can't be a demon hellspawn post-kayfabe, his character lost a lot of depth. How many partners has he had that have lasted a decent-length run?
Mankind Undertaker RVD Hurricane X-pac
I'm sure there's more

Are Dupree and Tomko getting together? It's only worth doing if they call the team The Erection Connection.

Tomko/Dupree would be awesome if they commented on both having ridiculous facial hair

Tomko/Dupree would be awesome if they commented on both having ridiculous facial hair Then Snitsky should come walking by with his double goatee-braided ponytail thing he's got going and say "You guy's look like idiots".

Umm... am I the only one that's not really seeing why Dupree and Tomko would have a connection (crooked facial hair aside)?

actually, makeshift tag teams are not a bad idea, but at the current state of WWE's creative, they won't do anything good with them.
The best makeshift tag team that comes to my mind is the New Age Outlaws.

The best makeshift tag team that comes to my mind is the New Age Outlaws. I completely did not expect those two to get over on their own. They're initial pairing didn't even make sense. They were feuding, billy was supposed to be HOnky tonk man's prodigy, and one day they just decided to team up on shotgun saturday night. It wasn't totally random though, like they expected everyone to forget, there was some really strange, but brief (blink and miss quick) promo where they decided to team up on Shotgun Saturdaynight.

My favorite make shift tag team was Booker/Goldust.
The irony of makeshift tag teams, is they wouldn't be necessary if they would stop splitting their green regular tag teams and expect them to be singles stars (La Resistance, Bashams).
