He was fired for three days so he could wrestle at Genesis, then was rehired the day after.

Looking at the spoilers for next week's Impact, it looks as if they are playing off the idea of Shane being the ref who goes batcrap crazy and gets himself into matches now and then. And from what I've seen, the crowds seem to like it, so why not.
Off topic, has anyone noticed how with each passing week, Earl Hebner looks more and more like a turtle?

from the looks of it he'll be going after Booker's legends title. If he won it and ref'ed while wearing it that would be gold.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be cool if he won the belt and it became the Referee championship? To be eligible you have to be a Ref on the TNA roster. The rules could be like the 24/7 Hardcore belt except the challengers can make their own counts.

Yes, and in TNA, they assume you are willing to listen to the second phrase in a sentence that is being spoken, rather than assume that Jim Cornette making a dramatic mid-sentence pause is proof of idiotic booking. A stretch for some people, I know.

A stretch for some people, I know. He never said he was rehired as a referee. Quote the Cornette, "Shane Sewell is fired for three days. As of Sunday at Genesis you're back on the TNA payroll...as a wrestler." He never said that he would become a ref a again

You guys are seriously looking too deeply for TNA screw ups. Really man are we seriously discussing the implied intent of a booker as it pertains to a referee? I can't be sure because I sometimes tune them out, but it is possible that the overly descriptive nnounce team at TNA spelled it out for us. Or it was over looked becasue umm...well it's easy to overlook. I didn't notice until reading this thread

I love watching Shane Sewell freak out. It's like watching a Hulk Hogan comeback on mute.

Nah I think thats his gimick. "Holy crap I'm not supposed to get involved" then he gets carried away in the moment. They better g8ve him some depth soon or it will wear out fast

It seems like they're running the same storyline, but with Booker T and the legends title involved. He probably should have been made a permanent member of the X-Division, at least conflicts with Shelley would make more sense.

Some of these threads remind me of that Simpsons episode where the kids were asking Lucy Lawless (Xena) a ton of continuity questions about the show, and her answer was always "A wizard did it".
As Eric Bischoff once said, "We aren't writing Shakespeare here".
