I know there's probably a thread about it already, but I can't find it. So, I just got back from seeing it. My god, this film was astonishing. Easily beat out Star Trek as my favorite film I've seen this year. Sharlto Copely was amazing in this. Even more amazing to know it's his first acting role in a major film.

Is it just me, or did Sharlto remind anyone of a genetic blend of Tim Roth, Luke Wilson, and Steve Carrell during the movie?

I'm really hoping the theatre in Bartlesville gets it...I imagine it will, and that's about 45 minutes away. Which I consider worth it.

Like I said before, Dude, it really is that good. Driving an hour to see it when it's going to be there next week...I dunno. Yeah, sure, why not.

That's just it, I don't know if it's gonna be here next week. I can only hope...but my theatre's website doesn't update that fast. It only has the showings for this upcoming week. So I'm more being hopeful than anything else.

Except without the Batman voice.

For the last time, Bale did NOT do his Batman voice in Terminator Salvation! For one thing, you could actually understand what he was saying in Terminator. For another, he didn't need to gasp between each word like he had lung cancer after years of smoking.

I will say this right now. If this movie is passed up for an Oscar for Best Effects, and Shitformers gets nominated, I'm setting the Kodak Theater on fire.

That seems like a bit of overreaction, but this flick does seem to have very good special effects, at least from the trailers.
I'm pretty much salivating over seeing it.
I still haven't seen Transformers 2, but it looks pretty good as well. Though for entirely different reasons.

I saw it yesterday, and it was a great movie. For me, it's probably my 3rd favorite movie of the year, behind Star Trek and yes, Transformers 2. May not be a popular opinion around here, so sue me.
It was a great experience, though. Definitely worth seeing it in the theatre.

I saw it opening day. It was alright; the beginning wasn't what I expected, and kinda bored me, but things got good once it started to pick up.
