A lot of the complained. The rest didn't care or they were too coked to notice. Exactly. Like I said, it was a joke by that point. People were like "ANOTHER one!?" But, just like now a days it had it's fans which allowed it to keep going. That's not MY biggest gripe, Pool. My thing is, back then, even the crappiest, most atrocious slasher flick had a little bit of heart and soul, and heck, it at least FELT like everyone was TRYING. These new DTV crapstorms they grunt out every Tuesday....these things are just SHAMEFUL cash grabs using the names (and in some cases, fan goodwill) of once great franchises. THAT's what pisses me off. The quality of these films lately, there's no excuse for....especially when it's a big name studio that's churning them out, and HAS the money for better things. Do it RIGHT or don't do it AT ALL. I get what you're saying R-Man my friend, but the truth is a lot of the "quality" of these old movies exsists only within our head. Yeah there were some genuinely good ones, AND there were more all time classics made back then than there are now-a-days. That said, a lot of these films really aren't great and were nothing more then money grabs. We just like it more because we get to look back on it with nostalgia. For people that weren't raised on that stuff they wouldn't nessacarly feel the same as us, and I can see why. They'll probably be in the same place we are 20 years from now, telling all the young people that horror movies were better when they were kids. That said, I will say this. The "bad movies" of yesterday year were a lot more fun to watch then the "bad movies" of today. Give me a bad Freddy Krueger one liner over Boogeyman 2 anyday. DSR, I'm not quoting you here because this is going to be a long enough looking post, but you hit the nail on the head towards a lot of my feelings on the subject.

I love following a movie as it seemingly heads into development hell. That script will now probably be tossed and a new script written from scratch by another person. Hollywood is so inefficient with scripts sometimes.

Zombie HAS to pick it up now. His movie was pure genius, he can't let someone else ruin it with a sequel.

Well Rob, let's hope you at least make one, coherent film, instead of a schizophrenic one consisting of two very different parts.

How exactly will they do a sequel I wonder, did she actually miss at the end or something. Though, Michael has been through worse and still came back.

Tyler Mane is confirmed I believe I wonder if all those cracks are going to play a role in the film...like is the mask gonna tear away at some point? If so, I wonder how on EARTH they're gonna play off Tyler Mane as the same little kid from earlier? Mane and Daeg Faerch have little to no facial similarities....

*Hrrrm*
Interesting choice. Not sure if it's a smart one, but interesting nonetheless.
