I elected not to buy it because it looked to me like the Wii version did not have either the Franchise mode or the Superstar mode. Those were the main reasons that I played the damned game in the first place. If it lost all of the things that I liked and apparently developed a cheap, cheating AI, then I don't know if I will ever buy a new Madden.

So he's pissed Madden hasn't perfected a 100% physics game? This happens all the time in sports games. It just initiated the catching animation.

This was an extremely hilarious video. "Do y'all even test these games?" "If any of you try to defend this, you're retarded"

Y'see whatcha got there is a magic football. Now a magic football is a football that's made of magic. regular footballs are made of pigskin. well they used to be but not anymroe but regular footballs aren't made of magic only magic footballs are. with magic footballs they can go anywhere they want unlike a regular football which just goes where u throw it due to lack of magic. Boom! Bret Farve.

This seems about right for the Bengals.

Madden isn't 100% physically accurate. I'm sure if that guy recorded every single play and looked at it, the same thing would have happened to him at least once. I don't see the big deal about this. It's not like the ball curved from one sideline to the other. It seriously moved like half an inch on the screen because the game had "decided" that he was catching the ball. Maybe if his defender was actually in position to block it he would have.

That should have been an interception, I'll give him that. But prove to me that glitch is a constant problem before you call the game garbage.

The overhead shot makes it look like his player overran the ball.
Madden has always had issues and I'm no football fan. Everything I know about football, I've learned from Madden. I've challeneged perfectly legit plays and they got overturned for no reason, I've had legit catches stand as imcomplete.
The phyiscs will never, ever be perfect nor will anything about.

This video proves that the game lacks any kind of realism whatsoever.
Not because of the catching glitch, but because the Bengals are in the conference championship.

Well, if everything you know came from Madden, how do you know they were legit catches? Not trying to be a smartass here, just honestly wondering.

Take a shot every time you hear "Know what i'm saying?"
Big deal, it's a glitch. It happens from time to time. It's not like it'll do that every single time.
Not sure why I found this so funny, but I did.

It happens from time to time. It's not like it'll do that every single time. Not sure why I found this so funny, but I did. Its very rare but the game is set up to do that every once in awhile. I've had a similar play happen to me. I didn't read the comments on the video's page but I'm gonna assume people are throwing a glitch fit (see what I did there? ). Hell, it happens in the NFL too. From my understanding when it's a one-on-one tackle there's a chance the ballcarrier goes down and a chance he doesn't, like always. However, with pro-tak adding tacklers on can improve those chances in the defense's favor. However, it never actually hits a point where having so many people is a surefire takedown, the chance still remains (though slim) that a runner can break out of a huge pile.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=_138p6uzhUkThis makes me laugh more, although the magic ball is still something to be irritated about, particularly if you think it's the sort of crap the game would pull to try to catch up to you. It could just be a animation issue, true, but this is the sort of stunt games have a way of pulling, such as convenient critical hits and out-of-the-blueshells in Mario Kart. If you want some examples: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RubberBandAI
