To put it as simply as possible, DC Comics had a little... shakeup. Barely read through it but to but think of Marvel Entertainment without the Marvel and you hit it on the T. Along with that Paul Levitz, Chief of DC for over 35 years, is moving down to write the Legion of Super Heroes in Adventure Comics.

JLA splits into two factions, with the younger, fresh heroes on one team and the older, bigger name heroes on the other. Superman is crowned leader of the older hero team, reigns forever until a quad injury and zzzzzzzzzzzzz...
I'm sorry, I got bored before I finished the joke.

well it's not like DC has been at the top of its game lately with Marvel kicking their asses in sales and many displeased customers (i.e. Final Crisis, Batman R.I.P.). While I do not like the more corporate control, I am more willing to see where it goes as opposed to a previously independent entity like Marvel becoming Disney's bitch

I read the article and have no idea what it said. JLA splits into two factions, with the younger, fresh heroes on one team and the older, bigger name heroes on the other. /quote] So JLA and JSA then?

Nope. He's just trapped in time. How long 'till we see a "Batman Returns" storyline in the vein of "Captain America: Reborn"?

Curse you District of Columbia! Why couldn't you take your damn pandas, turn them sideways and let DC keep its damn name!?

I wish Bruce would stay away forever, I like Dick Grayson as Batman. This. I'd personally like to see him as the mentor role like Batman Beyond.

Hmmm, well there 75th anniversary is coming up so then?Though you'd think they would want to do something with Superman instead for it.Well it has been more then 7 years since Superman died and like Batman said"And let's face it, "Superman"... the last time you really inspired anyone -- was when you were dead."Writing comics is easy.

I wish Bruce would stay away forever, I like Dick Grayson as Batman. Would be nice.If they had grapefruits,Wally West would be the only Flash,Kyle Rayner would be the main GL for Earth,Wonder Girl would take Wonder Women's place and Kon-el would become Superman. But they care more about the intellectual property itself then long term story telling, which is understandable, they want to make money but still it sucks sometimes..

If you read the article, it doesn't say that DC Comics is gone. What's been done is they've created a DC equivalent of Marvel Studios, which will be used to develop and pitch DC properties to Warner Bros. It's a good move. There are far too many untapped franchises at DC.

And I completly agree with you about it, it's a damn good idea and it's about time it's done for DC when Marvel's practically making money out of their lesser stars like Iron Man. And also 'DC Comics change its name' wouldn't have attracted as many views from fanboys.

They ARE making money. LOTS of it. Exactly. And, personally, DC has a tonne more potential to push their lower guys then Marvel has because there are some high profile guys down there that have merely been floating in the conciencious of people rather then being known. The DC projects put on hold for now, The Flash and Captain Marvel, as well as others they could use, Aquaman as a big example, could make WB a tonne of money. But until now, they haven't had the chance to be exploited as much. If DC Entertainment is like Marvel Entertainment, expect a much bigger trust in not just the creators and writers of these characters but also on WB to market the ever loving crap out of them and make them a tonne of cash.

I don't really mind. "DC" stands for "Detective Comics." So, technically, we've been saying "Detective Comics Comics" for years.

Getting rid of Bruce Wayne as Batman has NEVER been a good idea. Didn't work with Azrael, won't work with Dick Grayson.

It sounds more like a restructuring to better manage the publisher's IP more than an end of anything. Which is fine, as it saves us from garbage like Steel, and hopefully gives us more Timm stuff.
