I thought it was ok, but nowhere as memorable as the first one.
That said, the Cain Robocop 2 design was awesome...until the videoscreen appeared.

No, 3 is where it sucks. I think 2's just as solid as the first.
The scene with the guy getting cut open disturbs the hell out of me, by the way.

I say not
I like the idea of they trying to replace Robocop with a better model and all of those new directives he gets were awesome

I'm gonna go ahead and say suck. I think it pales in comparison to the first, but if you are still just looking for a mindless action movie to watch, go for it. Without spoiling too much I'm just gonna say "Drug Addicted Robot."

It doesn't have the heart or humanity of the first one, but it is a solid action flick, the media breaks and commercials are just as funny as well.

I say not I like the idea of they trying to replace Robocop with a better model and all of those new directives he gets were awesome Bad language leads to bad feelings. This. I also loved the commercials for OCP's products, were there any in the first movie? Also I feel this movie is a lot smarter than "dumb shoot 'em up explosion action movie" tag it gets attached to it.

The guy who played Cain also played Frankenstein's monster in Monster club.

I like it because of the action but the kid villian is way over the top and not believable. They want you to have sympathy for him when he dies which makes it even worse.

I just watched it the other day. It's a very weird movie. Does that make much sense? I don't know. I LOVE the first, but I have so many mixed feelings about 2.
Cain was f***ing badass. The kid was disturbing to see in the role he played. The scene when Robocop was smashed to pieces gave me nightmares as a kid.
I'm going to give it a slight thumbs up however.

Can you believe that this film was directed by the same guy that directed 'The Empire Strikes Back'?

That's exactly what I thought. It pales in comparison to the first one, it seemed like Irvin was trying to shock audiences with the violence and gratuity and pushing story and emotion to the waste-side. BUT that is not to say it isn't entertaining.

RoboCop 2 isn't all that good, but it's Citizen Kane compared to RoboCop 3.
