£45M for Pato? Sell him now! He's great but not indispensable. Milan wouldn't really need to replace Pato yet if he left since they have Huntelaar. True, but with Inzaghi hopefully retiring soon, I would just like another young worldbeater in attack.

For £45M+ a bit more Milan could maybe get "Kun" Aguero.

I'm still confident we can win at Everton but I'll be happy with a point. Also looks like the first leg against Celtic on August 18th could be moved to the following day because U2 are due to play a concert that day. How this has happened is beyond me. Are you coming up for the game? We`re going to be leaving at a stupid time in the afternoon to get there in time. Without traffic, we live just over half an hour from Celtic Park, but add in the football crowd, the U2 crowd, and the 10 miles of roadworks on the motorway into Glasgow and it`ll take hours. I want to go but doubt id be able to get tickets or get time off work Plus its just 9 days away and I won't have time to sort out travel arrangements.

Bit of controversy in the Community Shield - Ballack shoulder barged Evra off the ball in front of the referee, but the referee didn't give the free kick. Lampard instantly went down the other end and scored. Great to see United on the wrong end of a bad refereeing decision for once.

Chelsea win the Community Shield on a Penalty shootout. Giggs and Evra's penalties were awful.

Can't blame Man Utd for being annoyed, the ref should never had stopped the play when Ballack went down.

Is anyone here doing the Fantasy Football on the Premier League site? Just wondering if there was a Wrestlecrap League yet. Yes indeedy: Ah, thanks. I've joined. Anyway, thoroughly enjoyable Community Shield game. Loved Nani's goal.

So that myth is still going then? Every supporter in the country who isn't a United fan believes it. And with good reason. Look at the # penalties given against United at Old Trafford over the last 15 or so years. Heck, last time Burnley played United, in the League Cup, a Man U guy was offside back at the half way line but it was ignored and he scored. Also grbjazzman, if you dont want Inzaghi Burnley will have him! Aguero could be a good pick too. Meaningless I know but I signed him for Burnley on Fifa (if only eh?) and he scored on his debut then 4 goals in the next match. His real world statistics are impressive too especially with his age.

Oh, I'm just looking ahead for Milan next summer. Inzaghi can't keep this pace up forever and the main complaint about the team is that they are too old to keep up with the youth of the other teams. Some youth is really what this team needs, and a top-shelf GK... Akinfeev springs to mind. Why is he still in Russia, surely a big team realizes his talent and will try to sign him soon?

There have been plenty of penalties given against Utd over the years. Last season we had more given against us than for. Utd get their fair share of bad decisions. Last year we had a stonewall Penalty turned down against Spurs in the Carling Cup Final and a stonewall penalty turned down in the FA Cup Semi final against Everton. But they dont make the news as much because when anything goes wrong against Utd thats just how football is sometimes. When Utd get fortunate decisions its because we cheat. Oh and Forlan was well onside in that 2 - 0 win.

"Wes [Hoolahan] thought that it would be a good idea to stick his middle finger up at a dozen or so fans as he left the ground last night. Then he joined a queue of traffic and about 10 of them tried to turn his car over."
Even if it is bull, the idea of it still makes me laugh.

Please don't put any more pressure on this kid. Isn't it obvious that if Wilshere plays well enough he will be in the squad? He doesn't need to say it. He needs to concentrate on getting in our team first week in week out, and with Rosicky and Nasri both injured he can do that

Capello's also said Beckham has to leave LA Galaxy or he wont play in the World Cup finals.
And Jamie Redknaapp's picked his list of the 10 players to shine in the Premiership next year- obviosu choices like Torres, Drogba, etc. are in there but interestingly so too is Burnley's Wade Elliott, the only guy who plays for a team that'll finish in the bottom half to have been listed. If Wade does indeed do as well as Jamie's predicting, then survival might not be impossible. I also seriously believe that if Elliott plays as well in the Premiership as he has in the last 3 years with us, he'll be deserving an England callup.

Why the hell have the FA scheduled the carling cup during an international week, we're without 10 players tomorrow as a result.
Actually why do we have an international week at all?

Arsenal lost their last pre-season game 2-0 at Valencia, how they faded in the last 20 minutes of the game worries me for the new season, and we've got Everton next week. On this evidence, we'll do well to get a draw there. i wasnt too worried about that match, since it was only a pre-season friendly. i still reckon we'll do everton away 2-1 fabregas and a RVP goal. from what i saw when i went to the emirates we played really well in both games, and i think we'll do really well this season. still also think wenger will get 2 more signings before the transfer window shuts.

At last we got rid of Hunt, good riddance to him.
