The fact that this came out 18 years ago makes me feel like a geriatric, but it still sounds like it came out yesterday to me. I still vividly remember going to one of their shows while they were doing the epic year and half tour for this album, good times man. So yeah, pick a favorite and talk about this album or anything else Metallica related if you so wish.

The whole album is awesome, but I enjoyed Wherever I May Roam the most. After this album. their following albums just didnt quite live up for me. They had good tracks, but not as good whole album as this one. The closest since then is the new one, Death Magnetic.

Mostly the same as Kabong, the album is awesome and still easily one of my top 5 ever but the song I always come back to is Of Wolf and Man.

The God That Failed, easily. The last three songs are the best songs on the album.
Jed Shaffer ~If only the other nine songs were as powerful and impactful.

I like the whole album except Enter the Sandman, but Wherever I May Roam stands out for me. Same with Sad but True.

The other songs were just as good but they got played over and over and over and over again. It's like Nirvana's "nevermind"..the radio tracks are terrific but whenever I listen to the cd I listen to the album only tracks first because I haven't heard them a million times.

I'm glad Soundgarden or Alice in Chains didn't get that treatment.

Will it tied as my favorite Metallica album with Master of Puppets. Enter Sandman holds a special place being that it was the first Metallica song I ever heard. (Thanks to ECW) So I can thank ECW and The Sandman for starting it all. From there I went and got into the rest of it. They became my favorite band really fast after that song. Because it seemed like whatever else I listed too from that album and there stuff before it. Was just awesome. This was in the time that Load and reload where coming out.

Unforgiven, but the only track I routinely skip over is Through the Never.

Wherever I May Roam. I only like about 4 or 5 Metallica songs but this is easily my favorite.

At the moment:
1. Wherever I May Roam (One of the greatest Metallica songs, period) 2. Of Wolf And Man 3. The Unforgiven 4. Sad But True 5. Don't Tread On Me

Holier Than Thou. That opening riff, with everyone playing in sync, is pure bliss.

Don't make me choose. I'm in a Nothing Else Matters mood at the moment.

My favorite is Holier Than Thou. I also really dig My Friend Of Misery, but it seems like the ending doesn't fit, almost like they didn't know how to end the song and just tacked something on.
Pretty much the whole album rocks though, except Nothing Else Matters. I hate that song, even though most people seem to think it's a masterpiece.
