Hearing Drowning Pool saddened me. They were so good. Why did Dave Williams (I think that was his name) die?

I'm glad he's coming back ;D. Triple H beats the hell out of Masters, Sideshow Carlito, and (ugh) Cena being shown so much on Raw these past several weeks. Hell seeing these guys every week makes me actually miss one of HHH's "I am the game" speeches. And I never thought I'd say that .

Then, remove the word "blasphemy." Then your statement will have more truth. I'm only kidding. My opinion, yes, Triple H is better than Kurt Angle. I understand that you may not think so though.

The thing that gets me is that HHH has been the main guy on Spike TV Raw for the past three years and most weeks WWE considers itself lucky to get a rating of 3.6.
So now inbetween we've had a Summerslam PPV that was one of the most successful non-wrestlemania PPV matches of recent years, Mick Foley the hardcore legend, the man who took wrestling ratings to unbelieveable heights - Hulk Hogan and the man who defines this generation of wrestling and a hero to this generation of wrestling fans Stone Cold Steve Austin.
So for Mr "3.6" to be built up as a huge return and that people are going to rush to their TV sets to see a guy who up until a couple of months ago was on TV ALL the time -that isn't going to happen.
HHH is clearly going to be the biggest character on Raw for a while (great shock) and he'll probably pull in HHH ratings too. Raw homecoming? More like the homecoming of HHH back to stink-up the ratings of what was once a great TV show.
Nice to know that no matter what network is on, some things never change.

Triple H is hardly the reason for the ratings decline. Saying Foley draws unbelievable ratings is more than laughable as well. And how come the ratings haven't spiked without him?
As for the whole ratings crap, who cares? He is more entertaining than Hogan could ever have hoped to be in the last 10 years. Also, WM XXI supposedly drew the highest buyrate for a WM ever, outside of WM III. You DO remember who was main eventing WM, right?

You do And as for being far more entertaining - what baloney. Entertaining is what people find entertaining which means the more people entertained by it the more entertaining it is. WMXXI scored a huge buyrate sure - IT'S WRESTLEMANIA!!!! . If people were so keen to see HHH why were the ratings of the previous 3 years of TV shows and 3 years worth of buyrates so horrible? Face it HHH does not deserve that spot. If it were anyone else they wouldn;t have kept the spot. It makes NO sense to push a guy so hard at the top - a Hogan-esque push when his track record of bringing in the green is at best - at BEST dubious

But, being a Triple H fan bigtime, I don't see why everyone bases the ratings declines on just HIM. Everybody seems to use Trips as a scapegoat just because he's married to the boss's daughter. As someone else's sig said, he was the best before he got involved with her, so it's not like he slept his way to the top. And as far as the ratings, sure the top guy's supposed to draw the big crowds, but it's gotta be a joint effort (Workers, writers, etc.). That's why the ratings didn't sky rocket when Triple H was gone. The product still sucked and not having one guy on there isn't going to do anything. If the WWE can weed out the crap and actually push the people with talent, then things will be better. Until then, why do we have to blame The Game??

People don't find Hogan entertaining anymore though. He's good for a nostalgia pop, but not to carry the company. People will continue to cheer for him because he is Hulk Hogan, but he's long overdue to let it go. He's just not what he used to be, period. At least Triple H can, you know, put on a good match. Hogan only has like 3 original parts left. Let's ignore the fact that it scored a higher buy-rate than any other Wrestlemania ever (besides III). It had a solid card, but give credit where credit is due. Triple H is a damn good heel and people WANTED to see him put Batista over, and he did it huge. I can't say the same thing for Hogan in his prime. Of course, he's only there because he is banging Steph, right? Let's dismiss his complete loyalty and dedication to the business. Let's forget how he went from getting squashed by the Warrior and de-pushed because of the Kliq incident to BUSTING HIS ASS to win World titles. Let's say he only won those titles because he is part of the family, even though he was getting those runs before he even thought of dating her. Let's dismiss all of that hard work and dedication and completely blame all of WWE's downfall on him, just because there isn't a strong roster for him to work with. If you remember correctly, Hogan was drawing all these buy rates with a strong roster behind him. Randy Savage, U. Warrior, LOD, Roddy Piper, Andre, Jake Roberts, Undertaker, etc.. What does Triple H have to work with? Unestablished stars that he singlehandedly helps build into credible workers. You can argue that his buy-rates are low all you want, but Hogan damn sure didn't put every ass in the seat that was there, and Triple H does a good job with what is given to him.

The Drowning Pool guy died from a drug overdose. I was never a fan, but it still sucks he died. Actually, it was a rare heart condition. All toxicology reports and blood tests came back negative. No drugs in his system. I've heard both stories, but I talked to one of the roadies who found him. He claims that it was heroin. And contrary to reports, he was found dead in Somerset before Ozzfest. However, that's just the word of a Roadie, so who knows what really happened. As for Triple H, I expect to see a swerve on Monday Night and have him attack Flair. Trips is a heel, after all ...
