Beth looked awesome last night and i think the 6 person match was the match of the night- If WWE wanted to make Beth dominate, they would have let her beat trish...however since it was her hometown i doubt trish would have agreed to it-which kind of annoys me because win or lose trish would still have her "legacy"-Beth doesnt really have a storyline right now and it sucks..
lol@trish saying she didnt know Beth...are we supposed to forget that Trish brought beth out around 2006 when she was fueding with someone

Three points:
#1) I'm aware the proper spelling of the verb in question is "buried". Spelling it "berried", as is so often done around this board, implies that I'm being slightly fatuous, but I am genuinely concerned about the subject in general. Like "Ha ha, only serious."
#2) If this was the first time that Beth had to lose and lose clean to someone small enough to be an appetizer, I wouldn't have even considered posting. But how many losses to Kelly Kelly? How many losses to Maria? She's made to "look tough" but she is (kayfabe) lower down the foodchain than Alicia Fox?
#3) Is Beth really going to win a title soon? Seriously? Don't you need to get a win more than every vernal equinox to be considered any sort of legitimate title threat?

Can we make a delicious jam out of her? I'd mark if she got a new gimmick as Violet Beauregard from "Williy Wonka" all grown up and competes as a blueberry. I really would.

Sorry about the "buried/berried" thing. I'm new here. Is there an FAQ of words commonly misspelled on purpose on the board?

Lloyd, it's the internet, you were statistically justified in thinking it was not a deliberate misspelling Some very common ones used around here are "newz", implying that it is "news, but of dubious trustworthiness" and "heatz", implying that claims of them getting heat backstage are also of dubious trustworthiness. Of course, above "heatz" we have "nucular heatz!!!1", etc.

Is it too much to hope that Beth might end up joining JeriShow on a more regular basis?
I know this was a one off, as they needed a diva for Trish to go up against, but I can picture Jericho doing the same sort of promos for Beth that he did to build up Big Show. And it would distance her even further from the Santino comedy stuff.

I don't think there was anything wrong with it. Standard fare for the 6 man random tag matches, the faces almost always win...usually in dominant fashion.
Don't confuse "taking some losses" with burials.

Beth should only be out-manuvered, out-witted, or out-run, but never outpowered. That was something I didn't like about the match last-night. Most of the petite Divas should be dominated throughout the match, only to pull a victory through either a mistake cause by Beth being overconfident, or used some combination of speed or technique to win.
But buried? If anyone got burried last night, it was Gail Kim.

There's really nothing going on in the women's division anyway, so why not?

If she is burried like Mickie James supposedly was,
look for Beth to be your next Divas Champion in less than a month.

I going to be as objective as I can, because I like Trish, and I'm glad that she destroyed the "bimbo" steriotype and became one of the best ever. I've met Trish before and she's a sweetheart and very down to earth and everything.
But, I didn't like the way everything went down with her as guest host. I don't want to say that I didn't like her "performance", because you can only perform with what you have to work with, and I think she did a good job with that, except for her finish of her match with Beth.
The only thing I didn't like about it was how Trish won. It made Beth look like a wimp. Trish doesn't wrestle for 3 years, then comes back, and Beth falls for all the "tricks", that by right shouldn't hurt someone like Beth as much as the other divas. Then the finish is all about Trish looking pretty. That's basically what it is. Beth Phoenix gets defeated by the good looks of Trish Stratus.
It's high-school imagination. What I mean by that is that hollywood in general, the ones who write movies/except scripts all have the same bogus visions. They have the same visions that high-school kids have, that is, that whoever is the "coolest" can magically do "everything" better than everyone else.
You see this all the time in fight movies. The one who has the nicest haircut, the most friends, and the most girls, all of a sudden magically has the ability to fight the best, is magically the smartest, and magically wins against all uncool people and can only be defeated by a cooler person.
If you remember back to your high-school days, you may remember this type of thinking. A crowd will be talking about popular cool kid #1 and what would happen in a fight against unpopular cool kid in the corner #2. They will all universally agree that cool kid #1 would mop the floor with uncool kid #2, even if said uncool kid #2 is bigger, stronger, faster, in better shape, trains more, more experienced, and physically superior in almost every which way. You know, as if being cooler magically gives you these powers.
Well, that type of thinking goes on everywhere in TV entertainment, including the WWE. Trish looks better (debatable) than Beth, Trish is liked more, they were in Canada, so Trish had to win. No matter what. And not only win, but win easily, just another day at the park, even with 3 years of rust.
Trish defeated Beth with her good looks. Trish used sexy facial expressions, and kept her voice sexy after the first part of the match where she got on the microphone. She posed and smiled forever while setting up Beth for the Startusfaction, and she pinned Beth in a sexy fashion, letting her hair flow to the side, smiling with sexy eyes (not hurt, because that's not sexy), and not trying that hard to hold Beth down.
PS: You know, I don't think we give today's divas enough credit. Thay are all superb athletes, and I think we've just gotten used to it all now. Eve Torres, Alicia fox, Kelly Kelly, Melina, Mickey James, and Michelle Mccool all work physically at Trish's level during her prime or better. We have Trish and Lita to thank for it though, because they started it all in the modern WWE, and if it weren't for them, we wouldn't have athletic divas at all.

I thought being buried is along the lines of, losing every week and eventually fired.
