...which seeing as he works for the company isn't that much now is it? Honestly some people. "Hogan's made too many appearances wah wah wah". I tell you who's made too many appearances - Chris Benoit. He's my whipping boy. I mean if you removed ALL the contributions, all the entertaining moments Chris Benoit has provided WWE since he joined then what would we miss? Name one Benoit moment that's going to go down in wrestling legend? When did he last invent the wheel? When was the last time he done anything in any context that people will compare him to the Foley's, Austin's, Rock's, Harts, Hogans, Flairs, or Undertakers of this world? I'll tell you what - NOTHING. If Chris Benoit retires tomorrow it'll be as significant as The Coach leaving - in fact no scratch that, Coach will actually leave a noticable vacancy on television!!!!! It was fun to get that off my chest! I understand what you're saying, but you have to remember that any wrestling promotion need guys to fill roles other than that of being the star. I have to think that if I were running the company I would have to consider Benoit a useful guy to have around. He's the kind of guy that can always be, if not a huge star, a believable threat to the top contenders due to his ability and experience. HE could be used as the champion, or just used to put guys over and make them look good, depending on what is needed and what's best for the company at that time. Thinking you need only the marquis stars for a successful show is the trap that WCW fell into.

Name one Benoit moment that's going to go down in wrestling legend? Not sure what you mean by this, you take away all the contributions and entertaining moments from any wrestler and your not left with a whole lot from anyone. In the case with Benoit you're at least left with one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE history, regarldess of his "legendary moments". And these may not be really legendary moments by some peoples standards but three moments that Benoit had that I will always remember are of course: WM 20, making the Game tap out remains one of my top mark out moments ever. That wicked chair shot he took at the Royal Rumble in his ladder match with Y2J. And his WWE title match against Austin on a Smackdown some years ago. Still my favorite SD! main event of all time.

Anyone who puts their own selfish cravings for drugs or whatever above their responsibilities to their loved ones damn well DOES deserve everything that comes to them. All these criminey jeeze ups in wrestling that die young due to various types of drug abuse have themselves and themselves only to blame. Just because Davey Boy,Curt Hennig and others were talented performers it seems to make them untouchable in the eyes of some wrestling fans. Dude, Warrior was, albeit inderectly, responsible for Davey Boy's death. If it wasn't for that retarded door in the middle of the ring, Davey wouldn't have severly injured his back. Had he not injured his bakc, he wouldn't have gotten hooked on morphine. Wait, does Warrior live in Arizona??? Cause if so, I wanna see him in the mall one day, ask for an autograph, then kick in him the nuts. KKKEEENNNEEEDDYYYYY

Reever: he also was part of the Radicalz - a group which REALLY signaled the death of WCW to anyone who wasn't paying attention. That's a big thing.
rockymelvin: Listen, do you know WHY Davey needed all those pain relievers? The man's spine was broken in three places - falling on a trap door in WCW. A trap door made for Warrior. personally: I think Warriah feels a bit guilty, and projects it back on Davey. And yes, that makes him an even bigger schmuck. Yes, drugs are a self-destructive path, no one disagrees. However, I think it behooves us to look at WHY someone was drugging themselves rather then the act and it's immediate consquences alone. It's like an alcoholic: just telling them they're stupid is not enough - you need to find out why they drink, and help with that.
