Yes I know, I do tend to just make a lot of threads that just ask various questions, but I don't really have much to say these days seeing as How I try to keep things somewhat positive unless I'm fighting off some workrate nerds so just bare with me if you've started noticing the trend.
Not people you specifically hate, just people get the most flack from the internet. (somewhat inspired from the warrior thread where people actually had to defend Todd Grisham to an extent)
Anways: Todd Grisham - sure there's lots of reasons people don't like this guy, but I don't think I heard anyone pull the he's a queer card besides Warrior. I think he's okay on byte this and Experience and was a nice straight man to Ivory's add. Bob Holly: aside from that one guy on this board who was pimping the bob holly wrestling academy, does anybody like this guy? JBL - sure some people really like this guy, but still hated by most of the internet. Cena - no need to explain HHH Christy - though I think it's finally died down. Torrie and Candace - I think people hate her even more since coming from Smackdown. But I think it's the right heat this time since she's really coming off like Hilton-esque hosebag. Masters - people are starting to come around. I never hated him, but ever since the micheals thing started, he's gotten to showcase a lot more of what he's capable of when he's not wrestling jobbers or instructed to use a move he doesnt' usually do and breaking someone's nose. Warrior - cause it's always funny Hogan - Cause he's hogan and made too many appearances this year and used up most of the care that people had for him.

On Hogan - he's never been liked by the internet. The net's (smarks pre-net) probably thought Hogan outstayed his welcome by March of 1984.

My dad who hates wrestling is becoming a Todd Grisham mark. He finds him hilarious whenever I'm watching experience

I really don't see what people's problem is with Cena either. He seems like quite a nice guy, okay his wrestling-skills aren't exactly 5 star but the hatred he gets of net smarks IS pathetic.
In fact it's silly to hate anyone (unless their name's Warrior) just because someone doesn't like their character or gimmick. Everyone who cheers Die____die Die____die at whom ever at wrestling event deserve seven bags of Warrior kicked out of them and sat down in a darken room with a deranged serial killer with a set of knuckle dusters and told to grow up.

...it's something that some mentally disturbed sports fans suffer from. If a person plays for a different team, or has an on-air personality that an individual dislikes then it really does become a hatred.
It's a mental illness too which is why (apart from the post above !!) I tend to stay away from the real personal attacks a few mentally ill net fans embark on against certain inviduals.

I don't really understand the Bob Holly hate. He's pretty good in the ring ,and don't get the whole "he works stiff" thing as a reason either.Aren't Samoa Joe and Low Ki pretty stiff workers too?
Not that I brought that in to start anything, but it's something I don't get.

Not that I brought that in to start anything, but it's something I don't get.I think that Holly takes a lot of criticism because of who he stiffs -- often the new guys -- at a time when we're all clamoring for the new guys. JBL gets some criticism for this, too. It's always hard to like a bully and sure, wrestling's a tough sport to be apart of, but I gather that a lot of people wonder if Holly isn't trying so much to break people in as he's trying to break them down.

Not that I brought that in to start anything, but it's something I don't get.I'll try to explain how I feel about that. There's two different kinds of stiff. There's the "I wrestle stiff because that's how I work" kind of stiff, which is basically an art form in Japan, that's how guys like Joe and Vader work. And there's the ass head stiff. The, "stupid young'n, you don't take MY spot!" kind of stiff. There have been some pretty clear cases of Holly being a prick (sandbagging Lesnar and so on), so that's part of the reason why I hate him. As for his in-ring work, I don't think too highly of it. Not the worst, nothing to scream home about either. That's the other part. Also, about the stiffing thing, Joe and Vader and so on never did what they do with any sort of malice in mind. Also, Joe is able to take care of the people he works with, in that they usually don't get too f***ed up from his attack. Holly's just being a jerk.

I'd be a Holly fan if he wasn't such a prick. I think he's pretty good in the ring though, he just looks bland as hell.

Snitsky's a whipping boy by far! If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone bashing Snitsky, I'd have like... uh, several dollars.
I think Snitsky's awesome though. Highly entertaining... he makes me laugh every week. And he got to see up Maria's dress once while he tried to suck on her feet. He's an inspiration!

Cena is the whipping boy around here. It appears that Warrior may have replaced him as the new whipping boy with those off handed cheap shot comments about people who don't deserve it. I think HHH will be back as the whipping boy as soon as he gets his 11th title reign by year's end.

I shouldn't be such an ass when I bash wrestlers on these chat boards. No matter what, everyone who steps in the ring and can call themselves a wrestler is worthy of at least SOME respect.
I'll say things like "I hate Samoa Joe" or "I hate Ricky Reyes!" and even go so far as to call someone "boring" but I'll never take away from what they do in the ring. I'll never call someone a bad worker (at least not anymore).

Current WWE whipping boys - Orton, Cena, Holly, JBL & HHH I'd say
Out if those lot, Cena is the only one I really have a big thing against. Holly not so much, as long as he stays on Velocity which I don't watch often

I honestly don't mind Cena as much as I should. He's cut down on the poop jokes a lot and the gay jokes a little bit, and gets the crowd into his matches. I wish he'd vary up his offense more, though.
Orton, though, everything he does looks awkward and jerky, like he has no natural grace to him. It's hard for me to get into his matches just because of how weird everything he does ends up looking.
Anyone who's working to improve (Masters especially) shouldn't take the beating that they do. Not everyone can be the next Chris Benoit or Samoa Joe.

I wish they would let Cena work like he did in OVW and his first match in the E against Angle. He pretty much went move for move with Angle in that match.

I wish they would let Cena work like he did in OVW and his first match in the E against Angle. He pretty much went move for move with Angle in that match. Does that mean Cena's "apparent lack of workrate" is because of the gimmick, and not the man's fault? If so, that completely dispels pretty much every reason to hate on the guy. Orton, and Masters seem to get a fair bit of lashes as well. But that seems to be creative-related, and not as much on the man himself. As for the guy who said everything Orton does is awkward and jerky, I think that's what I like about him. The Rock seemed to have the same jerkiness when he moved, and maybe it's just fanboyism carrying over.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Goldberg yet. If the guy found the cure for cancer people there would still be people out there criticizing him. Regardless of whether people like him or not, he was a big factor in the Monday Night Wars.

Cena used to do a lot of moves, like a frog splash, the flip-over neck breaker (remember that?), a pretty nice guillotine legdrop.... Yeah, Cena can probably still go in the work-rate department, because I hardly doubt that he forgot.
