Is it so hard to believe that Undertaker might actually tap out, guys? If they want to make Punk their biggest heel, then yeah, they'll have to do something in this match. Even if Taker taps out, it's not like he's lost all credibility in the world. The same thing would happen if Ric Flair was locked in the Anaconda Vise. But if it does go into the Ultimate Submission route, then hey, all the more reason to go with what DSR suggested. Taker wouldn't lose credibility, but I still would rather not see him tap out in his big return match. Just seems a bit embarrasing. If they want the Punk reign to go on, just have him pass out in the Hell's Gate before he can tap like a couple other people have suggested.

I don't feel WWE has booked themselves in a corner. This match has become unpredictable. We assume UT won't submit, so he either has to win or Punk wins by cheating someway.
Either way, I want to see this match. I have no idea who will win and it's been a long time that WWE was unpredictable. This is good booking.

I really hope they don't continue to hot potato the belt. They should keep the belt on Punk til at least Wrestlemania, maybe Jeff Hardy comes back and faces Punk then.

I can't see Taker winning the title at a minor PPV, so I'm sure Punk will find some way to win. agreed......he or may not win da title again until wm

I highly doubt Taker is gonna tap, so I figure if Punk wins it's by using the belt or a chair or something to knock Taker out, slaps on a submission move and when the ref comes to he sees an unconscious Taker in Punk's submission move and calls it for Punk.
Punk retains, and 'Taker has good reason for a rematch.

Punk hopefully retains by chcanery since i see Cena vs Orton main eventing so Punk retains and then loses at Hell in A Cell and i can see this feud hopefully going in to Survivor Series.

I got it! Punk pays off Kane to beat down Undertaker or something like that, Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice, and since Taker is completely knocked out, ref stops the match, awards the match to CM Punk. And like, Punk is pretty small, especially compared to Undertaker, so on paper, it would look like Taker would fustigate him. So, Kane comes out thanks to a pay off from Punk (it doesn't have to be too dramatic), and then Punk gets the win that way.

I can't see Taker tapping, but hopefully they're not just gonna give Punk another one month reign. This has gotta end in some sort of screwjob finish.

Is it so hard to believe that Undertaker might actually tap out, guys? Yes. No matter how it is booked, I just can't see C.M. Punk going over Taker, ever. No matter how much MMA I watch, I can't buy that someone who looks as scrawny as Punk could put a whoopin on the deadman. Exhibit A. Not to mention, Undertaker has been booked as the most unbeatable, dominant entity in the history of the entire existence of mankind, that no fan would buy it. If Undertaker taps out to Punk, forget the riot, the whole space/time continuum might collapse.

What if they recreate the Hart/Austin finish. Punk doesn't tap, he just passes out. But since he doesn't submit, the title (by stipulation) doesn't change hands.

Plus, if they were gonna have 'Taker tap out to Punk in an effort to cement Punk as a top heel, I think they'd pick a PPV other then Breaking Point to do it. They'd do it at one of the Big 4

Can you get DQ'd in a submission match? If so they could have Punk lock in a submission and not break the hold for the five count.

So...everyone's cool with Kurt Angle, also a pretty small guy, forcing Hulk Hogan to tap out to the Angle Lock, but if Punk forces the Deadman to tap, we riot? Wasn't there a thread a while back that said just because a guy is small, it doesn't mean he can't pack a whallop of a punch? I think we need to stop judging a book by it's cover. Seriously, even if we ARE going to see Punk force Taker to submit, I'm not asking for a five minute match. Give Taker plenty of time to get tired out or something, and when Punk gets him in a submission, just have Undertaker struggle and not immediately tap out. As much as it killsme to admit this, I'm pretty sure WWE will know what they're doing with this match, guys. Calm down.

I totally stole this submission match finish from an indy show several years ago.... but it would be perfect for THIS match up.
Towards the end of the match there's a ref bump while 'Taker has Punk in the Hells Gate. A second ref jumps in but Punk quickly breaks out of the hold. A couple of reversals transpire then Punk kicks 'Taker out of the ring. Punk suddenly attacks the second ref and puts him in the Anaconda Vice. The original ref, still groggy hears the second ref tapping out and calls for the bell.

This is also acceptable, especially if it would lead to Kane/Taker at Hell in a Cell.

Meh, Taker will make Punk look okay in the feud. He usually makes the younger guys look good.

Either Punk is a credible champion, or he's not.
