There is a website called, Opensecrets.org, where you can look up people's campaign contributions. I checked out Linda's, I don't want to discuss them here, but one of the contributions was $500 to a canidate named "Stephanie Hunter Sanchez." Well, I thought it was funny.

I wonder if her primary opponents will hire Angry Jim Ross to "swiftboat" her.

I'm just wondering how much support she has in Connecticut. Any crappers wanna describe how much bigger chance she has of winning after officially announcing?

If she happens to become Senator, you can guaran-damn-tee that there won't be any congressional reviews on drugs in pro wrestling for a while! She would be in the minority party, and would have unseated one of the biggest names from the majority. There would likely be more. Elections can turn party majority on a dime.

Yeah, but there's .1 percent chance that the majority in the senate will change this coming election.

Yeah, but there's .1 percent chance that the majority in the senate will change this coming election. This true. It can happen, but this election cycle, according to pollsters on both sides of the isle, it probably won't happen, due to a number of reasons (contested seats, open seats, only 33 seats up for vote, etc.). The House on the other hand is easier to change possession of due to the sheer number of races. Anyhow, the analysis about Linda not making it out of the primaries is probably true. She's running against the top dogs of her party in a state whose seat is ranked by four polling sites as 3, 2, 1, and 3 most likely to change hands.

Must be only for major celebrities. I looked up my name and couldn't find a thing.

Here's Linda's biggest problem in winning the primary: She's going to have a tough time appealing to the Republican base. Even if she won the nomination, I think people are overestimating Dobb's troubles even with the Freddie and Fannie problemes. He's been the incumbent since 1980 in a reliably Blue State and sits on a number of influential committees in the Senate. He can play the whole look at all the influence I give CT on the national level card.

I'm just wondering how much support she has in Connecticut. Any crappers wanna describe how much bigger chance she has of winning after officially announcing? From what I understand, she's been very active with supporting schools. Wasn't she named to some big CT education board a year ago or so (which is why she's never on TV anymore)? That's a big crowd to have in your corner...

I listened to a radio interview with Linda McMahon this morning on Washington Times Talk Radio, and it sounds like she doesn't have a chance. They asked her why she was running as a republican, when she has donated thousands of dollars to democrat candidates and the DNC. They also asked her if she was friends with Rom Emmanuel, and she side-stepped the question.

She's going to have a tough time appealing to the Republican base. Lots of companies contribute to both parties. That's actually the closest split I've ever seen.

And it makes absolute sense; the WWE is headquartered in CT and has a long standing history in New York, two decidedly "blue" states. It'd make sense that they'd want to make nice with the senators/reps from those states, who tend towards being Democratic most of the time.

It'd make sense that they'd want to make nice with the senators/reps from those states, who tend towards being Democratic most of the time. You guys are right. The whole thing about how she won't have a chance because WWE has given money to both parties is pretty weak if you think about it. Honestly I think she has a huge chance and I'll tell you why. The other two republican candidates running are career politicians and people are getting tired of these type of politicians. Now if she gets past the primary I think she has an even better chance of winning. Dodd has had huge problems this year with his link to government ran banks fannie and freddie and looking at McMahon's site it and her views it seems to really talk about the over spending. She is trying to look like a fiscal conservative which will really help her. Another thing that people have said is that people will use racy WWF/E past footage to smear her. I highly doubt you will see too much of this. The reason is because the network most likely to do this would be MSNBC. MSNBC is owned by NBC which is owned by General Electric. NBC also happens to own the USA Netowrk which airs RAW in the U.S. If they try to smear her it will look very hypocritical and I'm sure the McMahon's are very aware of this. A good example would be the Hilary VS Obama parody match that they did on RAW during the primary for president. Up to that point and even now shows hardly ever make fun of President Obama and they did and got completely away with it because I don't remember anyone calling them out for it although if it had been Comedy Central who is owned by a different company I'm sure MSNBC would have been all over it.
