So, I've gotten the feeling that Ahmed was an okay wrestler, but his ego was what got out of the way. Otherwise, he seemed to be a popular Superstar.
But what's everyone else think? Was he as good as the hype? Was he over and as big a star as he was made out to be?

As a big, rippled guy who used a limited range of power moves, he's the sort of wrestler who smarks tend to rip apart, even if he had become a big star.
For what it's worth, he had a great look and was very over with the crowds during his initial push. His matches weren't technical masterpieces, but they were never going to be.

Ok, back to Ahmed. I was a fan of his. Thought his look was different and for a big man did have a decent move list. He was pretty over as well. Got injured, out of shape, reported bad attitude, you name it. I remember when he came to WCW as Big T, in one of the worst storylines of all time. Guy didn't seem like the same wrestler.

He should be remembered for being the only man in wrestling to wear knee pads all up and down his legs, even on his quads.

He should be remembered for being the only man in wrestling to wear knee pads all up and down his legs, even on his quads. And for ending every match with a half wedgie and 1 butt cheek hanging out.

Well there you go, another thing of my childhood ruined. Just for that, I'm gonna mention how RVD always had weird buttcrack sweat. Now try to watch an old RVD match the same again. I dare you.

Serious Answer: I liked him at the time and it was a pretty big deal when he won the IC Title, his fued with Goldust was probably the last good one that Goldust had (in his original carnation).
Joke Answer: I think Morty should stop stealing his medication.

Ok with power moves. His intensity on the mic was great, but, as shown, his words were hard to understand.

He began with a bang,he bodyslammed Yokozuna quite a few times and looked very impressive in winning the wild card match with Shawn Michaels at the 95 survivors series, but he never was the same after the feud with Farooq and the injury to his kidneys or wherever it was.

I'll never forget Vince's comments on his shortly after releasing him: "He hurt people. Lots of people."

I'll never forget Vince's comments on his shortly after releasing him: "He hurt people. Lots of people." And I doubt Vince meant that Ahmed was just mean and rude backstage. He was a very impressive looking dude, but that was about the only attribute he had.
