To all the NFL fans, Monday Night Football next week IS going to be Green Bay vs. Minnesota, however Favre will not be returning to Green Bay. They'll be playing in Minneapolis. Still a huge game though.
As for Roethlisberger..... this will only lose ratings for WWE since the majority of the country are not all steelers fans. Sure the building will love him, but not the fans at home.

Will Charlie Batch be there for when Ben gets hurt? I was thinking Tommy Maddox, since he has the prior working relationship with Mr. McMahon from the XFL. He probably still owes a season's worth of appearances.

So rather than worry that his team is 1-2 and just definitively lost a game to a supposed inferior rival, he'll play make believe wrestler? Good idea Ben. Good idea. Well Monday is an off day. And they are playing the Lions at the end of the that week. So there isn't much to worry about. That, and guest hosting does not mean you actually get in the ring and fight.

Do you think the WWE will incorporate the Terrible Towel somehow? The show is in Steeler country so I bet a lot of fans will bring them. That'll be an awesome site. As a lifelong Steelers fan I am super excited for this more than any RAW in a loooong time. Edit: Crap just realized Wilkes Berry is on the other side of PA. That sucks I thought it was close to Pitt. Might not go over so well with most of the people probably being eagles fans then.

Despite having an interest in American Football, I can't seem to care about this one. Personally I can't wait to hear what Santino calls him. ...except for this.

I take it they did this to get a giant pop, huh?
if they play next week like they did this week, they might want to rethink that strategy.

Thought that too... if they lose again next week even Steeler fans in attendance may boo him. Steeler fans are harsh when we're not winning. The more I think about this as a Steeler fan I hope Ben knows what he's doing. Playing a Sunday Night Game then the next day needing to get across state for a monday night taping, then back again for practice the next day. Least they're playing the Lions the following week so there's no excuse if they lose that one.

I have no interest whatsoever in American Football, a view I feel that is shared by most people outside of America.
Therefore this is probably the least excited I have been for a guest host and when you consider they have had Bob Barker??? and Jeremy Piven??? that is saying something.

Hey, if it would help, I think Rowan Atkinson would be an AWESOME host.

A few musings:
If a bunch of people show up with Terrible Towels, that would be an awesome excuse to have a Ricky Ortiz cameo where he cuts a promo about how proud he is that everyone in Wilkes-Barre is rallying up.
Makes sense that the WWE would try to fight ratings fire with ratings fire on this one. Won't work, but nice idea.
I want to see the same helpless look on Roethlisberger's face that we saw on the sidelines with about a minute left this past Sunday. That was just epic.

Good pick, and it will get WWE some big media attention. However, they are going up against the Vikings/Packers game that may well be the most watched football game in cable history, so I'd imagine they'd do very well to stay above 3.0 even with Big Ben.
Besides, with non-Americans complaining about the guest hosts that we don't know, I can't wait for the Sheffield RAW when we bring out someone like the Arctic Monkeys or one of Girls Aloud.

I live outside America and actually follow NFL so I think Ben is a decent pick. It actually makes a change that I know who the guest host is, most of them I've never heard of before. That being said if I had the choice of Raw or Packers v Vikings I'd go NFL. Has as been said already Raw will struggle in the ratings next week unless they do something insane and unexpected at HIAC which we know isn't going to happen.
