NBC should take a chance on Smackdown. It's not like they could fall much further.

Question is, where do they go? No way they get a spot on Fox, and UPN doesn't exist anymore. NBC aired Vince's XFL fiasco, didn't they? And they show Tributes to the Troops and SNMEs too. Maybe...just maybe... I think they need to move it to Fox or NBC. I can't even watch it and that makes me mad. It didn't used to be that way. It used to be that even if you didn't have cable, you could still watch wrestling. Nowadays, this isn't the case due to a lack of MNTV. Yeah, NBC sounds good, but I don't think Fox would take SmackDown. It does touch on their demographic but it's a little jarring for their schedule.

They should just swallow their pride and get TNT to air Smackdown. It'd be awesome to see Cole and J.R. relive the glory days of the Monday Night Wars by having ultra pride in their respective channel's original programming on USA and TNT.

I can see where this is heading...
WWE Snackdown on Food Network!
It's still the same program except there are food related segments like JR's BBQ corner and Melting Cheese with John Morrison's Presence

Just don't let Kane anywhere near the coffee machine.

The problem with NBC and Fox (and ABC, and CBS) is that if WWE could get on those networks they probably wouldn't have been on MyNetwork TV in the first place.

They'll still have a home for now, but it's not the greatest of news for WWE as MyNet or whatever will likely only decrease in markets.
I doubt NBC would be interested since SNME never really took off since they brought that back and since XFL was a gamble that failed miserably. Wrestling still has a bad stigma and I don't think they want their network to regularly show wrestling. Plus, if they put it on a weeknight then it would basically mean only SmackDown and Jay Leno Show could be on.
I don't see ABC or CBS wanting to be associated with wrestling. Fox? Even though I don't think they would care about any negative stigma from wrestling, I just don't see them being interested. I doubt The CW would so quickly change their minds about their focus on the young female market.

Is WGN an alternative? Or are they even worse off than MyTV?

I think the time has come for WWE to stop producing Smackdown and cut the roster. The company would be better off with a stacked RAW roster as it would boost the ratings (eventually, not overnight) and most likely boost PPV buys.

As well as completely and utter annihilate any chance of someone breaking through into the main event any time soon. There's kind of a reason my personal philosophy is that if they unify the World and WWE titles, I'll stop watching.

No one is going to watch unless these younger guys come up through a stacked roster. Besides that I'm guessing that some of the top guys will be retired in 5 years anyways. Taker, Show, Jericho, HBK, Edge and Hunter will not be around that much longer I think.
