...wow and damn. He was always one of my favourites as a child, and even when I grew up he was a guilty pleasure. RIP man, you'll be missed.

As many people have said I was never a big fan of his but it's always very saddening to hear about a wrestlers death, especially one so young as Test was.
My condolences to his family and friends and I really hope I never have to write this about another wrestler again because it is very upsetting. RIP.

Was he still dating Kelly Kelly? My condolences to her, regardless. It's believed that she's with Chris Jericho now.

Its weird, the other day I was thinking that we thankfully haven't had any shock wrestling deaths in 2009, but now this has happened.
RIP Test, an underrated power wrestler.

I'm very sad to hear this. I was always a fan of his work, and reading back on his bio today I saw that he was pretty much always involved in an angle that had my attention. He was a capable worker, and was a part of some very memorable angles, and he was involved in setting up some of the most important angles in the Attitude era.
I actually credit Test with motivating me to actually begin training as a wrestler, after I met him when WWE came out for their first tour of Australia. They had a competition where fans got to do a "wrestling interview" with a wrestler, and I got to take part with Test. It was great fun, and after always wanting to get involved in the biz, that small taste of what it would be like inspired me to seek out a way to being training and get involved.
By all accounts he was a pretty decent guy, and I must say I was always impressed that he came across as pretty smart and well grounded.
A huge shame, and I hope that at the end of the day, he passed away at a happy point in his life. He always seemed to have had his share of ups and downs, but to go at such a young age, the best I can wish for him is that he left this world at peace.
Condolences to his friends and family. He will be missed.

RIP man. So tragic. He was really getting over by the end of 99. I enjoyed his run with The Union, the angle with Steph and of course T&A. Showed a lot of potential between 99 and 00. He seemed like a decent, positive minded kida guy too.
Didn't see this one coming at all.

RIP A few more details from the Tampa Tribune... www2.tbo.com/content/2009/mar/14/140711/former-wrestling-champ-found-dead-tampa/Andrew "Test" Martin, a former world champion wrestler, was found dead in his Harbour Place apartment last night, according to Tampa Police.
Police say at this time there is no indication of foul play.
According to a media release:
At about 8 p.m., police responded to the Post Harbour Apartments, 725 Harbour Place Drive, to check on Martin. A neighbor reported that she could see into his apartment through a window and that Martin appeared motionless for several hours.
Officers entered the apartment and found Martin dead. He was transported to the Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The date of the autopsy is undetermined at this time.
The next of kin has been notified of the death.

I really hope steroids didn't help cause his death. I know there was an article sometime ago where he had no problem with steroids in wrestling because they were cosmetic and no different from getting a facelift or botox. rajah.com/base/node/8786 I wouldn't be surprised if they made a big deal out of this, but then again, he wasn't a "big name", so it might slip under the cracks...

As did I. I'm not going to go all out and lie and say I loved his work, but I loved the whole "Testicles" thing he did with Stacy Keibler. I can't stand to see all of these wrestlers die young, especially ones I've watched for a good period of time. 33, man. Damn it.
