Those shows aren't exactly eating into anything major, are they? All they affect are the Axxess shows. ROH even do their Saturday show early so that fans can get to the Hall of Fame afterwards. All those shows are doing is to compliment all the WWE stuff. Glad they've beat WWE's plans, although I think WWE may try and do a deal with Indianapolis to block those shows next year.

Yeah I really don't get that. The Hall of Fame will sell out, regardless. Wrestlemania will be packed, regardless. The better the industry is as a whole, the better off WWE is as a whole. This makes zero sense. If anything, use this as an opportunity to scout some new potential talents up close and personal.

Honestly, I don't really think WWE would be THAT petty to block out smaller companies like ROH. Besides, all they'd be doing is just giving the fans that can't go to WM or Axxess a little taste of wrestling, and some exposure. Nothing that'd harm WWE.

I don't think the issue is so much ROH and DGUSA, I imagine this is being done to make sure TNA doesn't run any house shows or events there that weekend. When WM was in Florida, didn't TNA have a bunch of people hanging around Axxess passing out TNA flyers and stuff?

Well no, but we never know if any news is true or not. Never hurts to discuss it though.

for the record, the Saturday show in Orlando definitely was not early and ran at the same time as the Hall of Fame

If this is true, it must be a relatively new policy. When WM23 was in Detroit, ROH had a show the Friday of Wrestlemania weekend at the Michigan State Fairgrounds.
If anything, the ROH show probably got lots of people to be even more pumped up for Wrestlemania two days later. So I definitely don't see how it hurt WWE at all, and most likely helped.

It was probably done more for TNA than ROH or DGUSA. Probably to make sure there aren't any more Highlander incidents like in Orlando.

If anything, this will hurt WWE. Had Nakajima not been announced, I don't think I would have traveled to Houston this year, as he's one of my favorite wrestlers today. I ended up attending WrestleMania, Hall of Fame and both ROH shows. It's obvious that Japanese wrestlers draw big crowds to ROH on WrestleMania weekend, which will help WWE in the process.
Very stupid move, WWE.

not only that but I just remembered that the ROH shows were at the rec center right next door to the Amway Arena where the HOF ceremony was happening.

When WM was in Florida, didn't TNA have a bunch of people hanging around Axxess passing out TNA flyers and stuff? They had their own Axxess type thing going right across the street at a closed garage. They had two big screens showing their promo videos and a replica belt that people could take pictures with. They were also interviewing people at Axxess about TNA. Meaning a cameraman outside the gate interviewing people on the other side of the gate. Almost like they were interviewing prisoners. It looked so minor league that it wasn't even funny. I thought it was stupid to promote themselves in what is basically their hometown.

I loved the bit that was like "they view it as THEIR week."
Makes WWE sound like an unruly Bride. Imagine Vince stomping around, pouting like an angry bride.

Now imagine Abyss, ODB, and AJ Styles sneaking around the WM facilities, dressed like Raisha Saeed, trying to whisper in people's ears about TNA. Vince truly believes that if he doesn't have the area to himself, that that will happen.

I was trying to get some indication on how credible the sources were. The story is a word for word rip from PWInsider so I'd say it's very credible. I loved the bit that was like "they view it as THEIR week." Makes WWE sound like an unruly Bride. Imagine Vince stomping around, pouting like an angry bride. It is their week though. This is the Superbowl coming to town basically. WWE will pump so much into the city that the cities are paying WWE to come to them. They are giving WWE the keys to the city and WWE is trying to make sure no one screws them on it. I am not saying that ROH or DGUSA would do this but, imagine if a wrestling company shows up and, puts on a crap show, causes trouble or screws fans somehow, it doesn't look bad on whatever company caused it, it looks bad on WWE because they are wrestling in the area for the time.
