Along with Kizarny, Hade Vansen seemed to be a waste in WWE's eyes, but neither men were even given a chance outside of a few vignettes and a match (or in Vade's case, one vignette).
Not to mention it seemed like Kizarny was getting a following on these parts somehow, while Vade just faded out after only one vignette and was forgotten as quickly as Hirohito.
So, my question is...what happened? Why did WWE pull the trigger and then stop the bullets just as fast?

They frankly jumped the gun on Vansen, and with Kizarny, they just did an incredibly piss poor job of sticking with a push of any kind and bailed too fast. That was a really bad time period for Smackdown.

With Kizarny, they just royally screwed up all the way.
The two big things, in my opinion, were that they aired his vignettes for way too long (like two or three months I think), then totally stopped them for about a month before remembering him long enough to say, "Oh yeah, he's debuting next week", and that they chose to debut him against MVP of all people in what was a fairly lengthy match right when he had not yet turned but the crowd was starting to like him. WWE basically just royally screwed up on him.
With Vansen, I honestly have no clue who the guy even is.

Here's Hade Vansen's vignette for those who haven't seen it:

Vanson was a victim of utter stupidity on creatives part. I mean they air the promo, set everything in place. THEN it occurs that maybe feuding with Undertaker right out of the gate would do more harm than good. They couldn't have figured that out sooner?

Vansen's promo was gold. But couldn't they have kept him about anyway, even if they had to drop the gimmick?

Vansen wasn't much of a ring general. So I think they just figured that letting him go would be better than just sending him back to development.

AND they cared about him so much they fired him shortly after

One of the rare times that i quickly went to the internet to look up who he was. I was quite sad they stopped and released him. He probably could have made a fantastic manager.

The thing is, Hansen was an easy fix. Build him up like he was this giant threat to Taker, have him get a few wins over with local talent, then, when the Undertaker was good n mad and ready to hand Hansens ass to him, have him chickenshit out and send his men (I know Kizarny and a few others were rumored to be his recruits), then have Hansen drop his secret weapon on Taker: Kane. Fairly predictable, but I think it woule have worked.

Vansen was just a victim of bad circumstances and stupid decisions on WWE's part.
Kizarny kinda sucked, though.

May or may not have been the case, but I'd still say he was much moreso a victim of bad circumstances and stupid decisions. The guy got all of one match to showcase his skills after first running vignettes for way too long and then totally dropping them with no explanation.

Kinda hard to decide how to react to a guy who cuts promos that you have go be good at Pig Latin to decipher and hasn't been established as a face or heel. I mean, if all you know is that the guy eats fire and can wrestle, do you cheer or boo?

I liked both guys, and I thought Kizarny "SHOULDA WORKED!" seeing as the gimmick wasn't some kind of fabrication they just threw on a blue tights jobber - the dude had all sorts of crazy tattoos, could breathe fire, had all his mannerisms down pat; he truly lived the gimmick as they say...and then he just walked out (WALKED OUT! - I mean, at least give him a giant teacup or something) after months of buildup and did nothing. Like Bradley said; it was a very bad time for Smackdown and it was very easy to get the impression the bookers and writers just had no bloody clue what they were doing.
Hade Vansen was the equivalent of giving a unintelligent child a perfectly functional calculator, a medium-level maths sum and leaving it to him...with said child giving up after two numbers screaming "I CAN'T DO IT! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!" and throwing it at the teacher.

The main problem with Kizarny is that they did nothing, absolutely nothing with gimic and gave him like a total of......two minutes of mic time and didn't give him a chance to get him set as a face or a heel.
