Can someone give me a reason why this man takes up so much tv time or even has a job? With an answer other than a "he has name value".
He is the worst promo in the business right now. Its been ages since he had a good match. He has the absolute fakest looking offence in wrestling, Seriously watch him its like hes parodying wrestling when hes throwing punches and kicks.
Anyone agree/disagree?

Probably due to the fact he's a vet and he may be serving a purpose backstage talking to the younger guys, and helping them develop.
Between that and given the fact the has his own wrestling school which may serve to educate future TNA talent, the people upstairs could very well see value in keeping him happy.
And all things considered, he hasn't taken up nearly as much time as a guy like Angle, Sting, or even Nash has. Moreover other than a brief PPV run with Joe, he's rarely in the main events all that much.

I disagree. I like Booker T on the mic and in the ring. His promos are a little over the top now, but i still find them funny. He has had good matches with AJ Styles, Christian, and Samoa Joe...and so far, i think him and Scott are doing well in their tag team.

But dont you think his offence has been ridiculously bad in the last 6 months or so? especially those "stomps"

That, and I still think the idea of Booker in an "NWO" is weird considering he fought the WCW ones during his run there. I never saw him as part of a Kliq (not friends with HBK or Hogan) so MEM Booker always seemed off.

I think he's one of the few guys who makes Leg Lariats and Spin Heel Kicks look good Also he's a lot better on the mic when he isn't doing his African Bernie Mac Impression
And I'd say his last good singles match was with Christian for the Legends Title but his match with 3D for the Tag Titles was good as well

Because he was big in WWE and anyone who was big in WWE will get pushed in TNA? He was big BEFORE he was in WWE, so using that as a reason doesn't really wash. That said, I remember watching Booker the last year of WCW when he was one of the top wrestlers in the world, and the guy I've seen show up in TNA is not really the same guy. I haven't seen one missile dropkick off the top rope since he showed up in TNA, and that finisher was one of my favorite things about him when he was kicking ass on Nitro every Monday night.

It's just sad for me to see booker and steiner now, compared to WCW. Age sucks. But honestly the three headed horrible wrestling monster of the MEM (booker, steiner, nash) just plain....suck. I respect Booker/Steiner giving them all, but it's getting rough to watch.

I'd actually argue that Steiner's put on some very solid matches, much more than I ever thought he would, at least.
Booker's amusing the hell out of me right now. It's obvious he's just having fun with his character and basically doing whatever the hell he wants, and it's a complete guilty pleasure of mine to laugh at the way he carries himself.

The issue is that we don't know what is going on backstage. For all we know there are no politics and guys like Nash, Steiner, Booker and Jarrett are guiding the younger guys and helping them develop characters.
But, honestly...you have the same guys who were backstage at WCW when it went to shit. Russo, Nash, Jarrett, Booker, Steiner...add Kurt Angle and the whorish Mick Foley to the mix and what do you get?

Apparently, you get Morgan, AJ, Daniels, Joe, Hernandez, Beer Money, World Elite, etc being the focus of the show.

I hate to sound so "smarky", but Book's work really DOES suck anymore, IMHO. He used to be good-makes it sad to watch now. Steiner, at least, provides some comedy with his work-same for Big Kev, too (but Nash was always good on the mic). Book seems out there during his promos nowadays. Sorry to say this, but I have to join the retirement bandwagon.
