Awesome video. I totally loved DDP back in the day and I'd sitll mark if he made a return to WWE in any capacity.

I forgot how awesome his Diamond Cutter variations were.
That one he pulled on the Giant was absolutely sick.

Vince was stupid to bury this guy. Wouldn't say he buried him at all. Just had him in a reduced role. I've said this in other posts: how do you justify anything more than upper mid card, which he was in the WWF, when he was aged, couldn't do a full schedule, and when he had a record as someone who had been in the main event of three of the worst drawing PPVs of all time? I love DDP, but you can't hate Vince too much for his call. He gave him a feud against the Undertaker and a Wrestlemania win against a guy a lot of people thought he should be putting over. Can't have it both ways.

Can't have it both ways. According to a lot of wrestlers he had an extremely tough time adapting to WWE style too, simply because of his horrible manner of working (learning and writing out a match rather than the conventional training and bump taking practically everybody else does) and 'Taker would have worked with him more, but he couldn't get in step with him in time according to Flair on his shoot, and his Ric's words "If you can't work with 'Taker, you don't deserve the spot".

I didn't mind the whole Taker/DDP feud, although I felt it could've been a little less one-sided (Although that was the whole problem of the Invasion). My main problem with his WWF run was the fact they gave him the crappiest music ever! I thought WWF bought the rights for almost everything! They kept Booker T's theme, but they couldn't keep "Self High Five"? Lame.

Either way, Vince's legal team probably didn't want to risk lawsuit with the Nirvana folk, something either Turner could afford to do because he owned the original through some other channel or because the WCW wasn't quite as big of a public target as WWF was.

Vince was stupid to bury this guy. Wouldn't say he buried him at all. Just had him in a reduced role. He lost to Sara, UT's wife, in her first (and far as I know, only) match. By pinfall. In less than 2 minutes. That's pretty much a burial, I think.

It's a shame he got injured because it would have been interesting to see how far he would have gone in WWE

There's no way losing to Sara Undertaker can be anything but a burial. As for Ric Flair, that sounds more like his typical sucking up to the boss than an honest opinion.

The Diamond Cutter and it's hundreds of variations totally OWN the RKO. Also, DDP didn't annoy the living smersh out of me anywhere near as much as Orton does.
Awesome vid.

DDP is a guy that Ric Flair absolutely trashed, and when asked about it DDP wouldn't say anything bad basically saying he doesn't hold onto that. It was funny to see him basically call Flair a sad old man in a round about way because he's still holding onto contempt for so many people.

If Flair's a "sad old man" what does that make DDP? He's no spring chicken himself.
