Also kinda hoped I'd be able to unleash the fury of Lesnar on Josh Koscheck. Oh well. That's what I was hoping for as well. An homage to the old days of the UFC. I mean, hell. BJ Penn v Frank Mir? Rampage v Lesnar? Amir v Griffin? A wasted opportunity.

I picked this game up, it's pretty fun 21-1 online so far...
And tapping out the computer is very hard where as playing other people you can make them tap.

Is everybody playing on begginer or do i just suck at video games?
im 19-10 and everytime i get a fighter who goes for takedown and submissions i always lose. 4 of my 19 wins have just been stomping Chris Leben and made up fighters to the ground because im always getting knocked back in the rankings as soon as i face some BJJ ace. I am happy to say i have KO'd Kendall Grove twice though. I hate that guy.
What's ticking me off about career mode is it takes so damn long to build up the skills to be a legitimate threat instead a fight night guy. By that time, your career is almost over. Maybe i'll do better once i actually learn how to consistantly defend takedowns and work the ground game.
I like games where you can max out your created player and dominate. I suppose they did not want to spoil it though, but building up your fighters skills should be a quicker process.

You have to practice to be able to able to handle the ground game.
I can handle the computer on the hardest level....but I practiced with the demo alot on the hardest level. If you get to that point you can be a top of the line net player because 99% of them won't be on the computers level.
What I'd tell you is do alot of exhibitions pick maybe 2 guys in each weight class to practice with so you can learn every little thing they do and you can maximize all their skills. If you need to keeo pausing it every 10 seconds to figure out how to do things do that until it becomes second nature and you don't have to do and you just have things memorized.

Submissions are going to take some getting use to. I can lock in a submission but not keep.
And I also am finding new ways to get knocked out. I tried to go for a takedown and I got a knee to the face and knocked me out.
I have a PS 3, how do you do a high kick? I was able to do it with Tito but I'm not sure how I did it.

For the High Kick, you have to have either Kickboxing or Mui Tai. Hold L1, then press either kick button. May work with boxing, but I haven't had any success doing so.
Submissions are quite a pain. My Created fighter I just retired ended with a Submission stat of 109 due to the % modifyers gained throughout the career (Kickboxing/BJJ). I've found the "Wax On" technique of rotating the hell out of the controller works best. Most of the time, once I get into the second level of a submission, it's over.

Well, due to the HORRIBLE Create-A-Fighter, there isn't any physical way to make a Tank Abbott. Now I'm sad. Maybe I can create Coture later.
And I was really looking forward to doing Kimbo/Tank, and then Tank/Lesnar. Oh well.

I'm 18-2 in the heavyweight division and just about to fight Frank Mir for the belt. Dose anyone else think the Lesner is the most overpowered athlete in a sports game not named Bo Jackson or Michael Vick? I mean damn, I can't get even get close without a damn takedown and a hammer punches from hell. I've noticed quite the opposite, i was playing with and against Lesner and it feels like one of the worst characters in the game. Holy hell fights in this game can get exciting as hell, makes me really wish you could save replays

I have to laugh at the fact that they actually made Machida accurate. He just always backs away and tries for counterstrikes, but mostly just backs away. I've found that just hitting him with long kick after long kick destroys him quite easily. (Yes, he beat me in one of our matches with a 26 second flash knockout... MACHIDA!!! *shakes fist*)
That being said, they really did make some of the fighters true to life. Awesome game.

Machida - Runs away Ortiz - Easy to KO Lesnar - Easy to Submit Griffin - Greatest fighter ever Amir - ARMBAR~!

Created myself and my brother - I was suprised that I actually managed to make us look quite like ourselves with the relative lack of detail in the create mode - and had a couple of exhibitions. Even in the demo, the furthest I've managed to get is into the 3rd round, most fights don't make it out the 1st. I'm sure in career mode against some harder guys on a high level of difficulty there'll be some decisions.

I believe it's a next gen situation square. Want to know how much ass my father kicks? I requested UFC for my birthday, and it's not until the beginning of June. However, he just called me and I get to have it today because he doesn't want me to wait. I love my father. He knows nothing of games, but he understands my love of them. I'm going to have to do something sick for his birthday this year.

That bastard made me retire. I was just about to regain my damn title to.
Also, 12 fight winstreak, and no hall of fame? I won nearly all my fights by first round knockout, yet only one knockout of the night. What the Hell Dana? Why must you hate my Copenhagen CAW!?
