Has anybody done the Roster Runthrough yet? I'm almost done with the Welterweight section. Who have been your punching bags in each one?
Heavyweight - Brock Light Heavyweight - Tito Middleweight - Evan Tanner (Nobody I really dislike there) Welterweight - Josh Koscheck (f*** Koscheck. Always hated that douche) Lightweight - Efrain Escudero (The latest TUF winner. Yeah, I got my copy from GameStop)

I got the game on Tuesday.
Been playing every day for at least 8 hrs since.
I've created 2 characters for Career. I gave up on one (I'll be sending him to retirement). The other, I took all the way to forced retirement. He finished with a 20-16-0 record.
I've yet to win a title or a career match by submission. I always lose the matches when it really counts (ex. Ranks 5 & up).
While I do love the game, I feel that the career is much too difficult to do. Leveling up is hard and the sparring/training/training camps take too much time and just aren't fun. Then you add in the appearances and whatnot = more burned time....and if you don't do them it's harder to get your CRED up. Which brings me to.....why is CRED even in the game? Stupid concept and it doesn't even work perfectly.

Yeah, I have a feeling Brock is going to be a huge force to be reckoned with in MMA for the next few years. His loss to Mir could easily be blamed on inexperience(not to take anything away from Mir. We'll see when they fight again). Brock is already extremely dominant, and he's still relatively new to UFC. Once he becomes a vet, oh goodness. I think its gonna be a pretty big spectacle to finally see him lose the belt. Just wait until July 18th. UFC 100 marks the End of Lesnar. July 11th

The sparring and training camps do little to improve your rating in the time given between fights and they put you against the top guys with a rating about 50 points higher than yours and it's hard to get ahead. By the time you do, it's about time to retire.

Anyone won a fight faster than 13 seconds yet? And with just one punch?

Anyone won a fight faster than 13 seconds yet? And with just one punch? Had a 1 punch ko in the demo. Think it went about 9 seconds. Just superman punched Rua clean out.

I just got it, is there anyway to have a fight with people in 2 different weight classes in exhibition?
I'm going to start a career mode after smackdown.

It's good to see I'm not the only one having problems with career mode.

Been playing Online mode and most people seem to want to use the heavyweights, though i should just say heavyweight because EVERYONE picks Lesnar. Which isn't so bad since hes not all that good (I use Mir, am 32-15, maybe 4 of those losses came to a Lesnar and around 25 of my wins came from facing Lesnar). The biggest compliant is that you can disconnect your 360 right when you lose so the other guy doesn't get credit in ranking mode. This happened to me at least 7 times today.

Middleweight - Evan Tanner (Nobody I really dislike there) Of course, beat up the dead guy. For me: Heavyweight: Coleman LH: Tito Middleweight: McFedries Welterweight: Koscheck Lightweight: Danzig

I had a 3 second fight between Chuck and Shogun on the demo, and this was on advanced difficulty! I ran across the octagon and hit Shogun with a perfectly timed spinning backfist. I still can't believe the fight lasted all of 3 seconds! My jaw dropped and just stayed there for several minutes. The career mode does kinda suck. Takes too long to build up any kind of stats. Anyone won a fight faster than 13 seconds yet? And with just one punch? Had a 1 punch ko in the demo. Think it went about 9 seconds. Just superman punched Rua clean out.

Played with a few people tonight. Went on an amazing tear with Cheick Kongo. Probably 20 straight wins...and then my cousin KO'd me in 10 secs with a Frank Mir jab.
Rather funny.

I got an 11 second knockout once, I think I was Cro Cop. Head Kick ftw.
I also got a first move submission on a guy. That was awesome.

Someone told me they were surprised that I got two submission wins - I've tapped guys to an armbar and a kneebar so far online.

Anyone won a fight faster than 13 seconds yet? And with just one punch? I beat McFedries in exactly 13 seconds with my created fighter. It wasent one punch..i just ran up and dropped a few quick jabs on him and than a hook and it was over.

I just got it, is there anyway to have a fight with people in 2 different weight classes in exhibition? I'm going to start a career mode after smackdown. Nope only with guys like BJ Penn who fight at two weights anyway

I'm now 13-3. (6 KO, 1 submission, 5 unanimous, 1 split) I've lost to Shogun. I've lost to James Irvin. I've lost an especially infuriating twenty-eight second one to Ortiz.
Also, Steveweiser, it happened on the demo and not the actual game, but I've had an eight second victory. (it was on beginner though, as I didn't know you could change it yet) I was Rua, he was Liddell. The fight starts, I step in and throw a side kick and just barely miss, I step back and throw an uppercut right as he tries a superman, he goes to sleep.

Anyone got any advice on getting a submission??
I spin the hell out of the right stick and button mash like crazy and I still can't get it. My submission offense is 70 and my BJJ is level 3. And if it matters I always seem to be fighting Nate Diaz, Sean Sherk, BJ Penn, Ken Flo and Joe Stevenson.
