15. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair During the mid 80s, the biggest feud in the NWA was Dusty Rhodes against the 4 Horsemen. Dusty had great feuds with Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard of the group, but the biggest feud was between him and Ric Flair. Throughout 1983-1986, Dusty would chase and chase and chase Flair while fighting off the Horsemen but the Horsemen would try to destroy Dusty at every event. Dusty would keep pushing and on July 25th, 1986, he would finally defeat Flair in a steel cage to win the NWA World title. But it wouldn't last long as he would lose the title back to Flair after he passed out in the Figure Four. In the rematch, Dusty's valet, Baby Doll would turn on Dusty and join the Horsemen. They then perpertated the infamous parking lot attack, breaking Dusty's arm with a baseball bat. Dusty recovered and assembled a team to take on the Horsemen and JJ Dillon in the first War Games match. Dusty, Nikita Koloff and The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering would defeat the Horsemen and would win the War Games rematch a few months later Tribute Videos: Flair vs. Dusty: Steel Cage match Part 1 www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nNlMn591vsPart 2 www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESt7DnngqNk&feature=relatedPart 3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW7P-XC6VAQ&feature=relatedThe War Games: Dusty, Nikita and The Road Warriors vs. The Horsemen www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LJQmpokl-c&feature=related

14. The Undertaker vs. Mankind The night after Wrestlemania 12, The Undertaker was ambushed and assaulted by a deranged and dangerous newcomer, Mankind. He would jam three of his fingers and jam them down Taker's throat, which would be called the Mandible Claw, and loudly yell and screech as he continued the attack. Afterwards, Mankind would randomly attack Taker and then at the Beware of Dog PPV, when the Undertaker took on Goldust in a Casket Match, Mankind would come out of the coffin and drag him in, costing him the Intercontinental title. They would finally meet at the King of the Ring PPV where Mankind would get the victory after Paul Bearer accidentally hit Taker with the urn which would allow Mankind to apply the Mandible Claw. A month later at International Incident, Taker facced Goldust again for the IC title, but Mankind would interfere again and assault Taker, costing him the belt again. The fight would lead to the basement of the arena until they were seperated. The second match between the two would take place at Summerslam in the first ever Boiler Room Brawl. The two would dump each other on concrete and hit each other with any weapon they could find until they made it to the ring where Paul Bearer would turn on Undertaker and give the urn to Mankind. For the first time in his tenure in WWF, the Undertaker found someone more dominant than him and now was by himself. A month later at Mind Games, Mankind fought Shawn Michaels in a classic for the WWF title. At the end of the match, Mankind would try to put HBK in the casket he brought, only for Taker to come out and start another brawl with Mankind. This led to another bizzare match. This would be the first ever Buried Alive Match. It would take place at Buried Alive where Taker would finally get a win over Mankind by chokeslamming in into the ground and throwing the dirt on him. Even though he won, Mankind and Bearer would have the last laugh as a group of heels would ambush Taker and bury him. They would meet again at the Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden with Paul Bearer suspended in a cage and if Taker won, he got 5 minutes alone with Bearer. They would fight all over the place and it would end with Taker getting the victory, evening the feud between them. But Taker wouldn't get a chance at Bearer, when Mankind's partner, the Executioner would make the save. Undertaker vs. Executioner would be held at It's Time in a Texas Deathmatch. But with it being No DQ, Mankind would enter, making it a handicap match. Mankind though would be maced and put in a straight jacket to stop interfering. After Wrestlemania XIII, when Taker won the WWF title, Mankind would challenge him for the title and would go so far as to throw fire in Taker's face, scarring him. They would meet at Revenge of the Taker, where they had another classic, including Taker throwing Mankind head first through the annoucne table. Taker won the match and would set Paul Bearer's face on fire. They would meet in tag matches throughout the rest of the year but they had their final meeting in June 1998 at the King of the Ring in the infamous Hell in a Cell match. Mankind would start the match on top of the cage, where Taker would throw him off the cage and onto a table. Everyone thought if was over but he would limp back up and climb to the cage only for Taker to chokeslam him through the cage to the ring. They would beat each other inside the cage, including throwing thumbtacks into the ring. Taker would end it by tombstoning him on a chair. 13. Mankind vs. The Rock The feud started at the 1998 Survivor Series in the tournament to crown the new WWF champion. Mankind was hand picked as Mr. McMahon's new corporate champion and had feuded with The Rock as he was the people's champion. They would collide in the finals of the tournament where in the big swerve, McMahon turned on Mankind and alligned with The Rock, with McMahon using the same method he used the last year to end the main event, call for the bell with the sharpshooter on Mankind. Mankind would team up with Steve Austin to take on Rock and Undertaker on Raw that ended up in a wild brawl and the match being thrown out. Rock vs. Mankind for the title is set up at the next PPV, Rock Bottom. In the main event, with the Corporation around ringside, Mankind would get the Mandible Claw on Rock and would pass out and would win the match and the WWF title, but Mr. McMahon would say Mankind would win the match but since Rock didn't tap out for say I Quit, Rock would come out of Rock Bottom as the WWF champion. Mankind would snap and attack every member of the Corporation that tried to help. On the January 4th 1999 edition of Raw, Mankind would kidnap Shane McMahon and force Mr. McMahon to make the rematch from Rock Bottom and it would be No DQ. The Corporation would be out in full force in support of the Rock, but Mankind would have D-Generation X at his side and when both stables broke out in a brawl, Stone Cold would run down the ring, hit Rock with a chair and Mankind would cover Rock to officially become the new WWF champion. The next match would be set up for the Royal Rumble and it would be an I Quit match for the title. Many believed that with Mankind's inhuman tolerance to pain, he would never quit and in the match, Mankind would take a brutal beating after being handcuffed and beaten over and over with a chair and suddenly Mankind said I quit and Rock would once again win the WWF title. But it was revealed on Raw the next night that Mankind blacked out from the loss of blood and the chair shots and it was a recording from Sunday Night Heat of Mankind yelling I quit. Mr. McMahon refused to let Mankind have the belt and announced that a special match would take place between them. It would take place during Halftime of the Super Bowl and it would be an Empty Arena match. In the match, they would brawl all over the arena and Mankind would once again win the WWF title by pinning Rock who was stuck under a forklift. The next match would take place at St. Valentines Day Massacre and it would be a Last Man Standing match. This match almost topped their previous two matches as both hit each other with everything they had and in the end, they would hit each other with a steel chair and would both go down to the count of 10 to end in a draw. The next night on Raw, the rematch was held and it would be a Ladder Match to settle the feud. Paul Wight, who debuted the night before, would attack Mankind and help Rock win back the WWF title. Rock would face Austin at Wrestlemania and Mankind petitioned to be the refferee in the match. He would beat the Rock by DQ to become the ref in the main event, but at Wrestlemania, would be chokeslammed by Wight through two chairs and taken out, but he would return to count the Rock's shoulders down and crown Austin the new WWF champion. Hooray for updates! This is by far my favorite topic on this board. Without it, I probably would never have stumbled on my favorite Vince McMahon promo, from part 1 of The Rock vs. Mankind at Rock Bottom.
Vince, Shane, The Rock, and Mankind all in the ring, about to sign some official documents, and Vince starts off by saying, "Mick, I know we have some business to take care of, but the first thing I'd like to bring to your attention, is that you have a hole in your tights. Right over on your little knee, over there."
The absurdity of it.

12. Triple H vs. The Rock During the DX/Nation feud, Triple H and The Rock were the leaders of both groups, both feuding for the European and Intercontinental titles. They would have a 2 out of 3 Falls Match at Fully Loaded for both titles that ended in a time limit draw and the stable war ended with HHH and Rock in a Ladder Match for the IC title. The feud continued after Hunter turned heel and Rock turned babyface, with Hunter joining and taking the Rock's place in the Corporation. They would meet at Over The Edge which ended in a DQ after Triple H attacked the referee. A month later at Fully Loaded 99, Triple H beat the Rock with help from the Corporation to become the #1 contender for the WWF title. They would also main event the first Smackdown show, with Triple H winning thanks from Shawn Michaels In September of 99, Mr. McMahon, with help from the Terminator, beat Triple H to become the WWF champion only to forfeit and have Triple H run a gauntlet to get a chance to reclaim the title. It led to him against Rock again, this time in a strap match, which Triple H won since Rock had a match earlier losing the WWF tag team titles to the New Age Outlaws. They would meet again at Unforgiven in the six pack challenge along with Big Show, Kane, Mankind and the British Bulldog to win the WWF championship. They would meet at the UK PPV Rebellion in a cage match for the WWF title. Triple H would again retain the title. They would main event the Survivor Series that year against each other and Big Show, with Show winning the WWF title. They would also main event Wrestlemania 16 against both Big Show and Mick Foley, including Mr. McMahon turning on Rock to help his son in law, Triple H to retain the WWF title. Rock earned another WWF title match for Backlash but Shane McMahon would be the referee. Rock had to fight the entire McMahon family but would win the WWF championship. Triple H would immediately challenge Rock for the title at Judgment Day, this time in a 1 hour Iron Man match. Judgment Day arrived and the Undertaker would return and tombstone Triple H, causing a DQ, giving Triple H a 1 fall advantage just as time expired to win back the WWF title. A month later at King of the Ring, Rock teamed with Undertaker and Kane to face Triple H and the McMahons with the WWF title on the line. Vince would get a Rock Bottom and pin Vince to win the WWF title once again. Rock would then defend the title against Triple H and Kurt Angle at Summerslam with Rock retaining the title. Afterwards, they would just meet in tag team matches and in the six man Hell in a Cell match. 11. Hulk Hogan vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper During 1984, Roddy Piper was causing havoc in the WWF. His talk show, Piper's Pit, would usually end up with Piper insulting his guest and a brawl taking place. Along with his bodyguard "Cowboy Ace" Bob Orton, they focused their malice towards "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka. Hogan would come to the Superfly's rescue and in the ensuing brawl, Piper would attack pop star Cyndi Lauper. Hulk was disgusted at Piper's act and challenged him to a fight, but Piper wanted the WWF title on the line. On February 18th at the War to Settle the Score, live on MTV, the match ended with Hogan getting a DQ finish after "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff attacked Hogan. Hogan's friend, Mr. T, would jump the rail and come to Hogan's rescue and ensuing a near riot in MSG. In anticipation for the WWF's biggest event, Wrestlemania, the main event would be Hulk Hogan and Mr. T against Piper and Orndorff. To make things even with Orton at Piper and Orndorff's side, Jimmy Snuka would be in T and the Hulkster's corner and Muhammed Ali would be the outside referee. Hogan and T would win the match. The feud didn't end as Piper continued to talk smack to Mr. T and Hogan which led up to a match in November at the Wrestling Classic with Hogan against Piper for the title. It would once again end in a DQ. The feud would end but 10 years later in the midst of the NWO angle in WCW, Piper and Hogan rekindled their feud in some of the worst matches ever. They had a steel cage match at Halloween Havoc 97 and main evented Starrcade in a match where everyone thought Piper won the WCW title over Hogan only to find out it was just a non title match. They would meet again at Superbrawl VII with Hogan getting the win. They would meet again in the WWE with Piper having Sean O' Haire as his apprentice and feuding with Hogan in the Mr. America gimmick. Hogan would beat Piper at Judgment Day 2003 Tribute Videos: Hogan vs. Piper from The War to Settle the Score www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Hulk%2BHogan%2Bvs.%2BRoddy%2BPiper/video/x22kov_roddy-piper_sportHogan and Mr. T vs. Piper and Orndorff from Wrestlemania (No Eye of the Tiger though) www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Hulk%2BHogan%2Bvs.%2BRoddy%2BPiper/video/x62uck_hulk-hogan-mr-t-vs-roddy-piper-mr-w_sportHogan vs. Piper from The Wrestling Classic www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Hulk%2BHogan%2Bvs.%2BRoddy%2BPiper/video/x1zgzh_wwf-hulk-hogan-vs-roddy-piper_sportHollywood Hogan vs. Piper from Starrcade 97 www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Hulk%2BHogan%2Bvs.%2BRoddy%2BPiper/video/x5s4le_starrcade1996-hulk-hogan-vs-rowdy-r_sport

10. The Fabolous Freebirds vs. The Von Erich Family On Christmas night in 1982, the state of Texas was on pins and needles hoping that Texa's own Kerry Von Erich would finally be able to defeat Ric Flair and win the NWA World title. It would be held in a steel cage and to make sure Flair didn't get away with any shenanigans inside the cage, the fans selected the leader of the Freebirds, Michael "P.S." Hayes as the special enforcer outside the cage. Earlier in the night, Terry Gordy would debut and team with Hayes and David Von Erich to win a match and form an alliance. During the match, the ref would be knocked down and when Hayes entered the cage, he got in Flair's face and Hayes would knock Flair out. He would urge Kerry to pin Flair but Kerry would refuse saying he didn't want to win the title that way. Michael would throw Kerry on Flair but Von Erich would roll off and head towards the door. As Kerry would ignore Hayes' yells to pin Flair, the Nature Boy would hit a high knee on Von Erich which he would collide with Hayes and in frustration, Hayes told Gordy to slam the door in Kerry's face, thus starting the biggest feud in World Class history. The feud would feature every member of the Von Erich family, including Fritz Von Erich and both teams would trade the six man tag team titles and would have singles bouts including street fights. The feud would go throughout the 80s until Kerry and Hayes called a truce to form their own team. 9. Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. "The King of Harts" Owen Hart In 1993, Bret Hart started to become the franchise of the WWF. He had won the WWF title and main evented Wrestlemania IX and would win the 1993 King of the Ring tournament. Meanwhile, his brother Owen was stuck in the midcard, watching his brother become a legend in the making. Owen's frustration reached its peak at the Survivor Series when he would team with Bret and his brothers Keith and Bruce to face Shawn Michaels (in as a substitute for Jerry Lawler) and the Knights. Owen would eliminate all the knights but would be the only Hart eliminated after he accidently knocked Bret off the apron allowing HBK to get a quick pin on him. Bret would get the final fall and get the congratulations. Owen would come back but would refuse to join in Bret's celebration and confronted his brother but it would be broken up. Bret and Owen would make up and form a tag team and chase for the WWF Tag Team titles and would get a shot at the Royal Rumble against the Quebecers. The match would stop after the ref stopped because of an injury to Bret's knee, thus causing the Quebecers to retain the tag team titles. Owen would snap and attack his brother's knee but later that night, Bret would co-win the Royal Rumble with Lex Luger. Owen would challenge Bret to a match but Bret would refuse. When Luger won the coin toss to get the first shot at Yokozuna at Wrestlemania X, Bret needed to have a match before his title shot and the match would be Bret vs. Owen. At Wrestlemania X, Owen would get the big upset by pinning his brother and #1 contender at the open of the show but like the Royal Rumble, Bret would get the job done despite the loss and win his 2nd WWF title and like the Survivor Series, Owen would be in the aisle as his brother was being lifted on shoulders and congratulated. Owen would campaign as being the rightful #1 contender to Bret's WWF title and would get a title shot by winning the 1994 King of the Ring, the same title Bret won the previous year with help from Jim Neidhart, who helped Bret retain the WWF title against Diesel. The feud would lead to Summerslam with Bret vs. Owen II for the WWF title inside a steel cage match that featured the entire Hart family and the British Bulldog. Bret would even the series with the win to retain the title. The cage match would receive a 5 star review from the observer. They would meet again and it would be a lumberjack match with Neidhart again interfering and helping Owen to win the match but the decision would be reversed by a 2nd referee. Owen would then get his revenge at the Survivor Series when Bret faced Mr. Bob Backlund. Owen would knock Bulldog out and convince his mother to throw in the towel for Bret as Bret was locked the Crossface Chickenwing, costing Bret the WWF title. Bret would get his revenge on Owen by beating him in a No Holds Barred match on Raw and would end the feud. 8. Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin In mid 1996, Steve Austin had hit the scene by winning the King of the Ring tournament that year and Austin 3:16 was seen in every WWF arena and Austin became everyones favorite anti-hero superstar. Meanwhile, Bret Hart was out of the picture, still angry with the outcome of his Iron Man match with Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania XII. Austin started taunting the Hitman calling him a coward and challenged him to a fight. Bret would return to face Austin at the Survivor Series where Hart would get a quick pinfall on Austin, countering the Million Dollar Dream. The feud wouldn't end there as two months later at the Royal Rumble, Austin and Hart fought again in the Royal Rumble match. Bret would be able to toss Austin over the top rope but the refs were distracted due to a brawl outside, which allowed Austin to roll back in and toss Bret out and win the Royal Rumble. Austin's controversial win would make him the #1 contender but Bret would get his wish and get Austin's win voided and a 4 corner match for the #1 contendership would be on the line with the last 4 wrestlers from the Royal Rumble fighting for it. Shawn Michaels though would vacate the WWF title because of "Losing his smile, a "Knee Injury", didn't want to job to Bret, etc" and the four corner would be for the vacant championship. Bret and Austin would meet at Final Four against Vader and The Undertaker in a brutal four corner match which would end with Bret winning his 4th WWF championship. His reign would be short lived as the next night on Raw, he would face Sycho Sid for the title. During the match, Austin would run in and give Bret a Stone Cold Stunner and Sid would defeat Bret and win the WWF title. Bret would go on a rampage against Austin and the match would be set for Wrestlemania XIII with Bret vs. Austin II in a submission match with MMA star Ken Shamrock as the special guest referee. A week before Wrestlemania, Bret would face Sid in a cage match for the WWF title but because of the Undertaker, Sid would retain the title who would then push Vince McMahon down and go on a tirade saying how much he's been screwed until Austin came out and badmouth Bret and it would end up in a brawl. Bret and Austin would have a 5 star/Match of the year match at Wrestlemania XIII in a brutal Submission match which would end with Bret beating Austin again by making Austin pass out in a pool of his own blood in the Sharpshooter. The fans started to turn on Bret when he would attack Austin after the match and start cheering for Austin. Bret would then reform the Hart Foundation with Owen, Bulldog, Neidhart and Pillman. Bret vs. Austin III would take place a month later at Revenge of the Taker which ended with Austin winning by DQ after the Foundation attacked Austin. It would happen again the next night on Raw with another beatdown. The feud would come to an end at Calgary Stampede with the Hart Foundation against Austin's Team USA in a 10 man tag which ended with Hart beating Austin's team. Austin would then feud with Owen Hart for Owen's IC title and Bret would move back in the world title picture. 7. Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan In 1987, Andre the Giant returned to the WWF to become the centerpiece of the Heenan Family. Bobby Heenan sent Andre at his arch nemesis Hulk Hogan and the WWF championship. Andre would betray Hogan and attack him and the big match would be setup for Wrestlemania III. At the show, Hogan did the unthinkable, he was able to slam the 7 foot giant and be the first man ever to beat the 8th wonder of the world. Andre would leave the WWF while Heenan threw more members at Hogan. Andre would return for the inaugural Survivor Series that year in the main event where his team would defeat Hogan's team with Andre as the sole survivor. The tensions would mount and the rematch would be held on Saturday Night Main Event in February 1988 where Andre would defeat Hogan to win the WWF title but would sell the title to Ted DiBiase. The title would be declared vacant and a tournament to crown a new champion would be held at Wrestlemania IV. Hogan and Andre would face each other with both of them getting a first round bye and facing each other in the 2nd round. Andre and Hogan would both be disqualified for using chairs on each other. Hogan would help Randy Savage win the title despite Andre and DiBiase's interference.
