Fill in the blank:
"I'd like to see the European Title brought back so ______ can win it."
1. Val Venis 2. Viscera 3. Matt Hardy 4. Shane McMahon 5. Shelton Benjamin
I don't know why, but Val Venis just strikes me as a European champ.

I don't want it back. There are too many titles. Even ECW doesn't need another belt.

That belt I always felt was useless. I guess it was a way to make the lower card guys feel good.

That belt I always felt was useless. I guess it was a way to make the lower card guys feel good. Which is exactly why it could be brought back

I never liked the European belt, as it seemed really pointless. It had nothing at all to do with Europe. Oh sure, it started out that way since the tournament for its first holder took place in Europe and the first Euro champ was the British Bulldog. But almost immediately it turned into the IC title for undercarders.
The one and only thing I ever liked about it was Al Snow's Euro title reign, because he actually had fun with it and made it relevant to Europe. Every week he would come out dressed as a stereotype from a different European country. That was creative at least.

If any title comes back, it has to be the Hardcore title. Because the midcard guys are not going to get much time to have a match, so with the hardcore title they can add a gimmik to it and make it interesting at least

D'Lo may have done something similar, but I specifically remember Al Snow was the one who dressed up every week. I remember because his theme music would say "What does everybody want? Head" in the language of the country he was dressed up in. Like for France his music said "Qu'est-ce que vous voulez? TETE!!!!"

Didn't D'Lo come out with a European home town. I remember marking out one time he came out on Heat from Warsaw Poland.

Plus there were some very great moments in the Hardcore title's history.

NO WAY should the Euro title be brought back. It was pure garbage of a belt and the title was in existence during a crap era of wrestling, the attitude era. That belt sucks! Never ever bring it back!

The European title started out as an interesting, if not uneeded title. Once it was defended in America and was killed off the first time, only for Midian to find it in the trash and become the champion.....it was just a midcard title with no purpose and the IC and US titles already have that territory staked out nicely.

I would like to see the Hardcore Title return if anything, I do miss it a lot. Won't be the same without Crash though (RIP).
But yeah Al Snow's Euro Title run involved him coming out dressed as guys from European places, like one week he was from Transylvania I believe. D'Lo just announced himself being from European citites - I remember a PPV where it was "Helsinki, Finland".

I never really got the concept of the European title... When the majority of WWF/WWE wrestlers came from North America!
