Yeah, because 3 months of searching is so long. What a moron. No school promises you'll find a job. Especially not in business. Actually there are a lot of schools that promise to find you a job. Though, they usually say "we'll find you a job within a year" or something. Wow, I didn't think schools would be that stupid. I know most just give their employment percentages and offer their services. If they did promise, it might have some legs, at least to get it heard and not thrown out.

This is roughly the equivalent of purchasing some 20-pound Gold's Gym weights, taking them home, lifting them five times, attempting to lift a truck, then suing Gold's Gym because you are unable to lift the truck.

If it goes down, at least it'll draw more attention to this particular issue. What do you need to go to college? You need money. Where do you get money? By working. Where's there to work that would provide enough money for college? Next to nowhere, unless you have an education. So maybe you can pick up a grant or two. They help, but god forbid you take out a loan, banking on the being able to pay it back with the money provided by the job you were promised. This isn't that bad of a case, I guess.

Taking an internship during the summer (or a co-op program) is usually the best way to guarantee a job after graduating college.

The University of Oklahoma's journalism college promises to help you find a job, if not at least find an internship that could lead to a great paying job. How do I know this? Because they told me this the day I toured the campus for the first time. Granted, I would never do something like this chick is doing, but if I did, I'd have a pretty good reason, cause one of their f***ing hooks was that they'd find me work in my field.

my school said that as well, even though they only mean "we have a notice board that you can check. "

of COURSE the college is liable for not finding her a work position ..... Certain schools (usually technical ones) pretty much guarantee you'll get work after school by way of their placement programs.

My school promised they would help us find jobs once we got 60% done with our time there. They didn't guarantee a job, but they also claimed before you signed up that they had regular job fairs that we could visit. What they didn't mention is that the jobs were UPS, and the Army. Oh and Best Buy came once. They never actually helped us find jobs either. Our teachers helped us get jobs, but the school never actually did a thing to help us until the last week we were there.
