Why couldn't they just go with "Doane"? no cause everyone would think he's related to Jack Doan, referee Actually, that could've been used to his advantage. Start an angle where Jack is Kenny's older brother, uncle, cousin or something and have him win matches with Jack giving fast counts and stuff. Though, the TNA thing is very understandable.
