That's cool. I mean, I can't see how anyone could really get INTO the game itself, but I can see how you might have fun with the free roam. And you know, it had POTENTIAL. It could have been good, and it SHOULD have been good, since they had so much time to work on it, but it WASN'T. And a LOT of my hate for it comes from the point of view of a huge JAWS fan. They just took a license and did jack all with it. The story was stupid, the controls were broken to the point of being maddening to use, and about the only thing that WAS fun was free roam, and even that got old after about 15 minutes. Glad you enjoyed it though. *shrug*

So the game isn't that terrible, but there are other space shooters that are better, like Einhänder.

cover looks cool, but all the reviews I've read say it's horrible and buggy. He looks like Mac from 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia'

this begins and ends with twisted metal black Really? I thought Twisted Metal Black was incredibly awesome, and a total return to form for the series after 3 and 4.

So the game isn't that terrible, but there are other space shooters that are better, like Einhänder. Considering that it was a port of an X68000 (obscure Japanese 16-Bit Personal Computer, though oddly, that version isn't listed on GameFAQs at all) game from 1990 (by a low-level developer like ZOOM), I don't really think it's fair to say that it "doesn't compare to Einhänder", a game it predates by 8+ years. Another odd thing. The SNES/GBA ports of Phalanx have a completely different soundtrack than the original X68000 version.

They both pale in comparison when it's come to horribleness with the first game cover.

Black was freaking awesome. My only qualm was the fact you HAD to play sneaky and cautious, running in guns blazing (which worked just fine in the past) put you from full health to just a couple machine gun shots from death in nothing flat.

Depended on who you used. I was way into hit and run with Warthog, but Grimm you had to pick your shots. The TM series is one of the few made way more fun by using god mode too.

At least with Grimm, when you DID hit someone, it took at least 35% of their lifebar.
