How would you, yes, YOU react if the Undertaker went into WrestleMania XXVI and came out undefeated once again?
But not with a win. With a draw. Be it a no contest, double count out, double DQ or whatever else you can imagine.
The undefeated streak remains intact but not in the way you'd think.

A no contest in any match at Wrestlemania would make people feel ripped off. Especially in an Undertaker match, probably even moreso than if one of the World Title matches were a draw.

I've always been curious as to how people would respond if Taker was pinned in a 2/3 fall match at Mania but still won the whole thing. One one hand it could be seen as a tarnishing the streak by cheapening it, or it could potentially build a further feud between Undertaker and guy who pinned him.

There would be a global IWC implosion.
I would sit back, relax and watch the fireworks

It would be a good way of really annoying everyone. Never gonna happen but an interesting idea. I personally think the streak should never end - and hope that this year they go with the Cena v Taker show down they teased on Raw.

Depends how it's done. I think a 60-minute draw (if he could last that long) in that HBK match last year would have put both guys over like mad and they could have come out of it the "ok, now I respect you" faces on both sides.

I'd be pretty baffled.
To be honest, if there's one result I bet the WWE would love to get back in The Streak, it's Taker vs Gonzalez in '93.
That's the only unclean win, with no video package friendly tombstone or chokeslam, despite it being against his worst opponent.

I think the bigger question is what if Undertaker wrestles Kane at WM and after UT pins him, he calls down a bolt of lightning and absorbs Kane in the center of the ring... becoming The UnderKaner.
Would he still be undefeated? Since that singular being would have both won and lost that match....
Important questions like this need to be considered!

Similary, I was wondering how they'd play things if Taker was in a tag match, say the proposed Snitsky/Heidenriech v BOD match, and his partner ate the fall. Or a triple threat match and he wasn't the one pinned.

I don't think that many people care about his streak.
WWE hypes as something much more important that most fans think it is.

We're four months away from Wrestlemania, and we already have discussions on who he should face. Not only that, but we get multitudinous threads on who should end the streak/how you'd react if this person ended the streak, all year round. The streak is a big part of Wrestlemania and a big part of the Undertaker.

In many fans' eyes, it would probably taint the streak a little. Wrestling operates in very black-and-white terms (even during Attitude), so it'd feel like the one Wrestlemania where Taker couldn't get the job done.

It would be stupid. Double DQ, draws and double countouts are a thing of the past that are rarely done anymore, and especially not in premier matches like The Undertakers.

Not only that, but we get multitudinous threads on who should end the streak/how you'd react if this person ended the streak, all year round. The streak is a big part of Wrestlemania and a big part of the Undertaker. Prime example: A couple of casual fans I know (and by casual, I mean the "I haven't watched since Austin was around/ wrestling looks fake as hell now" crowd) ordered Wrestlemania and watched it last year, and the 2 things they discussed the most was Austin's going away beer bash and Undertaker continuing the streak. Granted, if the WWE didn't play it up as such a big thing, most people outside of the IWC wouldn't really notice, but since it is played up, it generates into something bigger than what it should be. Exactly this, Taker's match is something I (and alot of people I know) look forward to heading in to 'Mania purely because of the significance of the streak.

A draw would be way way way way WAY worse than a loss. That third number on win / lose records is nothing but a black eye.
Now, what they should do, assuming they want a given person to benefit from a Taker Mania match, is make it two-out-of-three falls. That way Taker wins and it goes to 18-0, but the person he faces can claim they're the only person to pin Undertaker at WrestleMania, even if they didn't beat him.

I honestly think it would taint it unless they do what B said.
