From prowrestlingscoops.com (and probably others):
Some people backstage are wondering if Sabu is trying to get his release with his recent behavior. As was reported here, Sabu has had major backstage heat recently for falling asleep backstage for hours at a time, and for other unprofessional behavior. "It's almost as if he's trying to get fired", one source told us.
And later, post D2D:
There is definitely more as to why Sabu was pulled out of the Elimination Chamber last night. One source told us last week that he thought Sabu was actually trying to get himself fired. Don't be surprised if something happens this week. Stay tuned.
So the question is, is Sabu trying to get fired to go to TNA or some other promotion, or is he just not giving a damn?

I'd say both, he was handled way better in TNA and seeing how WWECW isn't exactly catching on as well as some would've hoped, he may as well try to get himself fired.

Maybe his body just can't take it anymore. I'd hate to see him gone, but he is a shell of his former self anyway.

If he's trying to get his release, I don't blame him. This new ECW crap is, well...crap.

I'd say Sabu's tenure in WWECW has more demanding on him than his TNA stint. He had to do 2 tapings a month, and a PPV all in the same location.
Granted, the pay is probably better in WWE, but given how his "Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal" gimmick has been stomped, burned, killed and pissed upon, he may as well head back south, and take RVD with him.

I can't say I blame him. WWE has slowly destroyed his gimmick, and obviously there's something more, something we haven't been told yet, or at all.

I can't believe that Sabu gets arrested, then goes prima donna, and it's Vince's and WWE's fault. That's freakin' backwards.

I find it comical that people think Sabu is washed up and can handle his high risk offense anymore, meanwhile in TNA he was f***ing gold. Sabu vs Abyss was one of the best barbwire matches in recent history, and this was only in 05. Sabu still can put on a damn good show.

That would have never been considered in the real ECW or even TNA. Boo-hoo, he talked. If this was before "Forever Hardcore" then you'd have a case, but since he didn't shut up in that thing, the cat's out of the bag, he can speak. It's not like he's out there cutting 20 minute promos.

Yeah, but he had barbed wire and cage matches there. In WWE he's having 3 minute squash matches.

You know, if I was a guy who'd been doing my job for 20 years, had carved my own place, and gotten over, I'd be a little resentful if I was offered a job only to be told "listen, we realize you've managed to work this gimmick for two decades, but we're changing everything but the name and look", I'd be a little bit pissed off.
Yes, Sabu took the job, and the "professional" thing to do is to do what your employer is paying you for. However, if the same thing had happeened to anyone on this board, and your new employer told you he admired how you'd done your job for 20+ years, and then demanded you change two major facets of your duties, you'd be pissed off too.

Right, but he had only one barbed wire match, and the cage match he had with Joe was very short and one-sided. Still, not as tumultous as going all over the world.

I want to want Sabu around, but I can't in good conscience do anything other than tell him, go on, man, get canned. I can't deal with VelocitECW anymore. I want to like it. I want to believe that RVD, Punk, Sabu, Sandman, Balls and Dreamer could destroy Show, Test, Sparky, Knox, Lashley and Davari. But the E will never give us that. Maybe that's why Axl Rotten was gone before it started; why Justin got himself fired a few months back; why Sabu and RVD are phoning it in now; why Punk cries himself to sleep, thinking, "Man, if only me and Julio could've made it in TNA." But the E won't wish Sabu well on his future endeavours, for the same reason you won't be seeing The Truth in the E any time soon. If Sabu goes, RVD goes in a few months, no problem, and a reunited RVD/Sabu team (vs. Dudleys? vs. VKM? vs. AJ/Daniels [you know it]? vs. LAX? vs. AMW?) could help TNA out a whole lot.

Even if Sabu is in trouble, taking him out of the main event was idiotic and a slap in the face to everyone that bought the PPV (such as myself). You don't pull a bait and switch in your main event.
