Tomorrow. Then he gets sent back down the card and Orton points out that this is a new title reign for Cena.

They will undoubtedly play up the fact that Cena fell off the top turnbuckle and wasn't pushed by Sheamus which was plainly obvious in the replay they showed.
Also the fact that they showed Cena with the title on the tribute to the troops promo they aired right after the match leads me to think if not Raw tomorrow very soon thereafter.

Mark my words: This is a cheap excuse to get back to the Cena/Orton status quo.

I really REALLY can not believe this.
At least CM Punk was ECW champion.
Sheamus has done.... nothing....

He'll make the Fabulous Moolah's reign look brief.

He got a monster push, he won clean. I was a fan from day one and don't get all this talk about him having to prove himself? He was friggin pushed to destroy people! I think this is just a case of us becoming smarter. As a kid, I could see myself not disputing this at all and really think Sheamus was some sort of beast. But to echo some sentiments, its funny how people want Cena to drop the title clean, he does, and then all of a sudden he didn't deserve it and hes not credible. Swagger could have maybe gotten the push but even then I don't think I would buy it. Sheamus was trotted out as a monster so I can believe he is credible. Once again, its something fresh and I couldn't be happier. Co-Sign.

I give it 'til the Rumble, tops. No way he's keeping it long term unless they REALLY want to super push him.

Mark my words: This is a cheap excuse to get back to the Cena/Orton status quo. I believe you, but I think it's all coming around to HHH/Orton again. Which, in the minds of WWE Creative, will be "fresh" again by that time. About as fresh as the brown lettuce at the back of the crisper in the supermarket to us, but to them, yeah. Fresh again.

Anyone think they're doing this to capitalize on the popularity of MMA? I mean, think about it. If you are fighting within UFC, that actually means something. It means you are on a good enough level to actually stand a relative chance against any one competitor. Shouldn't it be, with very few exceptions, the same thing in WWE? It is the major leagues of wrestling, any one wrestler, especially the size of Sheamus, should be able to defeat any other one give wrestler on any give day. It'd be a weird re-institution of kayfabe, but I would like it.

Raw 4th, but not to Cena though (because Cena's not there).

I'm envisioning an Edge-like run, win it and then lose it next PPV or special RAW just to test the waters of how he'd handle being champion.

I need clarification: was Orton barred from challenging for the WWE Title while Cena is champion, or while Cena still is champion? Was it for the duration of that specific reign, or can Orton never again challenge Cena for the WWE Title until the save game file gets corrupted? People always mention the Kane reign, but this could be more like the Undertaker from Survivor Series 91. He wins under controversy and, then the rematch adds more controversy. The title is vacant for a big free-for-all contest. This time it could be Elimination Chamber with HBK, HHH, Jericho, Big Show, Cena, and Shame-Us. This could work. Except for the EC lineup. 1. Orton and Legacy have promo time tomorrow where they gloat over Randy's victory over Kofi and Cena's loss, which ought to make Randy the #1 contender for the WWE Title. Legacy believes that they should renew their rivalry with DX and destroy them, proving they can do what JeriShow couldn't or something. 2. The rematch for Cena/Sheamus is set up for the Royal Rumble. The match ends in a DQ when one man puts the other through a table. Either Cena snaps to become a more violent and interesting babyface (not likely) or Sheamus wishes to show Cena that he can, in fact, put him through a table once again. Bonus points if he hits the razor's edge-thing off the ring apron or steps through the announce table. 2b. DX retains, but Legacy gets the win. I'd suggest that sledgie gets involved. Shawn is accidentally hit by Hunter and gets counted out. DX are the champs, Legacy looks like a million bucks, and the HBK/Hunter seeds are well-sewn. 2c. A Smackdown superstar (either Batista or CM Punk, imo) will win the Rumble and go on to challenge Taker at WM for the WHC. 3. The scandal leads to yet another rematch on Raw. After 5 minutes, Legacy storms the ring and attacks both men. It's utter chaos with the 3-on-1-on-1, and Cena's the only face out there. He's about to be punted when out runs...Kofi Kingston!!! complete with properly timed musical cue. Kofi goes crazy, saves Cena, and there is a 3-on-1-on-1-on-1 standoff. Either Vince or the guest host comes out and decrees that since these six men can't seem to mind their own business and stay out of the same ring, then they'll have no choice but to be locked into the same ring at Elimination Chamber. EC for the WWE Title: Sheamus v Cena v Kingston v Orton v Dibiase v Rhodes. 4. EC Happens. The WHC Chamber is Taker, Kane, Mysterio, Show, Jericho, and Knox...except Edge returns out of nowhere and steals a spot in the Chamber again. Marking and awesomeness ensue. The WWE Title Chamber makes Legacy, Kofi and Sheamus more than just fluff for the Cena/Orton matchup that has been getting teased on Raw so much that people actually want to see it again. One of Legacy needs to be the one to pin Orton, either by roll-up to make Orton crazy or by stealing a pin off someone else's finisher to create a "you've learned well, grasshopper" moment on Raw. Cena eliminates Sheamus following a Trouble in Paradise/Attitude Adjustment combo. The final two are Cena and Kofi, just so the company can see the reaction Kingston gets against Cena, who they officially put over as being "controversial"/okay to boo. Cena wins, all's well, and everyone looks great. 4b. DX finally shatters as they drop the tag belts to MVP and Mark Henry, the perfect "credible upper midcarders who can have competitive matches with guys like the Harts and keep the belts warm until they are back down in limbo again" tag team. HBK turns heel after Hunter almost lays him out again. SCM to Hunter, Shawn walks out, and WSTT hesitantly takes the win and helps Hunter up. Hunter then pedigrees them both because someone has to be his bitch, dammit! 5. So there's no clear cut number one contender for the WWE Title at Mania. HBK and Hunter are occupied. Show has issues with the Smackdown guys. Orton and Legacy are potentially breaking apart. Kofi and Orton have beef. Kofi and Sheamus have beef. Enter Guest Host! Enter 5-man gauntlet match on Raw! Winner of the gauntlet faces Cena. Orton wins with Legacy losing on purpose. All four losers (Sheamus, Kofi, Legacy) are entered into MitB. 6. Mania - Raw contributes Shawn/Hunter and Cena/Orton. SD contributes Jericho/Edge and Taker/Batista...plus Big Show and Kane in the 4-way that is Obviously Taker's Biggest Challenge To The Streak EVER!!!1! MitB: Kofi, Sheamus, Ted, Cody, Punk, Truth, Matt, and Shelton. McIntyre/Rey. Miz/Morrison. Christian/Regal. Diva crap.

I have to ask this question, could that Cena/Tribute to Troops clip be legit or just a red herring?

I have to ask this question, could that Cena/Tribute to Troops clip be legit or just a red herring? Well, they've always acknowledged that Tribute to the Troops is taped in advance, so...
