What was the angle about? All I remember is Goldust beating Sheamus once and then Sheamus beating Goldust. No real rhyme or reason. No real angle. I could be wrong here but that's all I remember about those matches. The angle was basically that Sheamus wanted competetion. Goldust faced him, Sheamus won, then got on the mic and said he demanded gold, and they bring him "dust", writing Goldust off. Goldust took exception and attacked him, which pissed Sheamus off understandably. They had a bunch of matches that devolved into fistfights on the outside and count outs, etc, with Sheamus getting one over on Goldust by kicking his legs out from under him, Goldust getting a rollup, etc, with no clear winner until Sheamus won their No DQ match and Sheamus went on to have a feud with Shelton. It was pretty good TV I think, but then again, I am a big Goldust fan and I enjoy Sheamus a lot. I did to probelm was it was on ECW and ECW gets a fraction of RAWs ratings and Sheamus lost a good portion of his fanbase in the switch. I like Sheamus, I like him alot but he got the title WAY to early.

I like it and Striker's reaction sold me on it. It was a fluke win sure but that doesn't matter. A win is a win and Cena knew that coming in. Now the real champion can get back what's rightfully his, Randy Orton. What would you fellas say if Sheamus pulled an Andre tomorrow night and handed the belt over to......Ted Dibiase? ;D Everybody DOES have a price, after all..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *Cue M$M music* ;D

I cannot believe that the "TNA has won the war" option somehow has 18 votes. Seriously, people? I hope that like, fifteen of those were Lancers f***** around. You have no idea how easy it is to convince people to vote for something when you offer a free carwash.

I say Cena wins it back at the Royal Rumble after Mark Cuban cost Shameus the title setting up Cuban vs Shameus at WM 26. We need a celebrity for Mania and I think Cuban is the one because we have seen this decade that he can take a RKO and he can be put through a table.

Somehow Orton sneaks into Cena's rematch, so we get Seamus v Orton v Cena and Orton wins. Kofi wins the Rumble and chooses to face Orton at Wrestlemania. That gives Cena the chance to face Taker or Batista for the WHC at Mania. Though all this can change if Edge comes back at the Rumble.

Lashley was over, had a us title reign, feuds with finlay, Simon dean, booker t, matches with jbl, benoit, and was being given a year before winning the ecw title.
Sheamous got a Brock lesnar/yokozuna/diesel/jbl type of push

Not saying I think it'll happen, but in the realm of possibilities, it's NOT all too farfetched. ;D

These threads are just to funny..For years people are complaining that the same people are inte mainevent constantly. Then, WWE takes a chance to elevate someone new to ME-status and the same people are still bitching because the guy allegedly has not "earned it"..NEWZFLASH: when has it ever mattered in prowrestling if someone "deserves" to get the title? If WWE trusts this guy enough to put the title on him and see how it goes, we should just be happy for the fact that someone else has FINALLY broken the Glass ceiling that is RAW. But no, that would not work for the good old IWC. We just have to have something to complain about when it isn't done exactly as we envisioned.."He hasn't earned it"..haha..good one!

I say the Rumble. They'll redo basically what Edge's first reign was. I expect Sheamus to defeat some semi-big name, then drop it back to Cena, if not someone else.
I want to give this a chance though. His reactions, especially last night, are becoming very loud and very distinctive. Maybe it's too soon, or maybe they use this reign to make him. This isn't like Triple H or Batista where they win the belt and you know what you get. This is something different. I want to see what they do.

WWE has had a history of putting midcarders or upper carders who are shoe ins not to be in the worlds title picture at Mania in world title matches at the Royal Rumble, just usually not as the champion. Like Mysterio, Mark Henry, Bob Holly. So I guess its not unprecidented that he'll be chamo at Royal Rumble.
This is the WWE booking at its worst. Instead of organically letting someone be champ because the fans are into him and want to see the guy facing top competition for the title, they hot shot someone with zilch in the charisma department and no connection with the fans at large to the top so the fans will have no choice but to accept him because like it or not thats where he is.
When he gets a pop in a vaccum tonight it'll be embarassing.
I'm a huge fan of monster heels, indestrucatble forces that cant be beat. But so far Sheamus has done nothing but squash a couple of midcarders, win a battle royal and now hes champ.
Why am I SUPPOSE to care about him? The WWE has done absolutly nothing to make anybody want to care about him other than put the title on him.

Not ENTIRELY true! Dusty's real name is Virgil, after all, and his kid is aligned with Ted Jr...

I wouldn't be surprised if his title reign was over by the end of this sentence. I sincerely doubt he'll have it long.

Honestly, I just wonder if Vince promised Vince Sr. that if he ever had a legitimate Irish National on the roster that he'd throw the title on him.
Because I could see Vince Sr. wanting that to happen.

I (kinda) called a victory.
Right now I'm saying that Sheamus will beat Cena at the Royal Rumble, but then lose the title to Randy Orton in a triple threat at Elimination Chamber.
He then fails to win the MitB.

I'm undecided to whether or not I'm a Sheamus fan, but I'm just glad to see some other people instead of the same boring combinations again.
