www.deadline.com/hollywood/nbc-indicates-changes-coming-to-jay-leno-show-due-to-affiliate-issues/BREAKING NEWS! 4TH UPDATE: On tonight's monologue sent to reporters in advance of airing, Jay Leno sounds angry and upset, even going so far as saying he has "trust" issues with NBC right now. Which indicates that Leno and his reps are fighting NBC's attempts to cancel The Jay Leno Show at 10 PM primetime Monday through Friday which would violate his contract in which the network gave him a 2-year iron-clad commitment. Now NBC's waffling today starts to make sense as Jay and Conan and their reps fight what can only be called a turf war with the net: Oh boy, get the popcorn ready! ;D

If this means war, we WrestleCrap must aid our brother Conan the Comedian (forgotten sibling of Conan the Barbarian and Destroyer)

If I were Conan, I'd start to send feelers to Fox right now. They'd probably allow him to retain his so-called "edginess" (which is really just quirkiness that goes blue every now and then) while remaining at the 11:30 spot. No, it wouldn't be The Tonight Show, but it would be his show.
I really feel bad for the staff of both Leno and Conan. Conan's staff in particular, since they all moved across the country for this and now six months in it could all be over. What the hell.

Hank Scorpio
He has the looks of Andre the Giant, and the strength of Barry Windham. Not to mention he's a hero to a few armadillos, a kangaroo and a small herd of bison.

Too bad neither show is live (to my knowledge), otherwise we could see them "shooting" on each other and even NBC, revealing important plot points for their shows like in that episode of the simpsons, while NBC scrambles to take them off the air.

Related question: Does anyone know what will happen to the ten o'clock time slot if/when Leno's show is moved? Will it be given back to the affiliates as per the rumor, or do they have something else up their proverbial sleeve? Personally, I'd like to see them "pad things out" with a few of their cable shows. While I don't think that they will pull top 20 numbers - these shows are on cable for a reason - it can't be worse than what they got now. At least they don't have to put any money towards new programming...

Ugh. Leno is the single unfunniest man on TV, and that includes the worst of the Raw guest hosts.
Though, one has to wonder, when are the antiquated ratings systems going to go away and start taking DVR and online viewing (Hulu or NBC.com both) into account?
