All of my SNES carts were tested and cleaned today. Most notable ones that gave me troubles were: Mystic Quest (Wouldn't boot up. Cleaned, and works fine) Lufia II (Kept looping the Natusme/Copyright screens, until it was scrubbed) Toy Story (Wouldn't boot up. cleaned it. Still wouldn't boot up. Cleaned it some more, finally worked) Sim City (Screen flashed several different colors. Cleaned once, works fine) Donkey Kong Country 3 (Blank screen. Cleaned. Works fine, no data lost) And a couple others I can't remember at this moment. I'm also trying to find AV Cables for a model 1 Sega Genesis. Is there any place I can look to find them? I bought mine off ebay. They weren't too cheap ($10-ish with shipping if I remember right) but it wasn't all that bad. Oh and I hit up some yard sales today. I picked up The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition for the Gamecube for $2. I don't even have a Gamecube, but I couldn't pass that up. They also had American Wasteland for $2 which I was tempted by but passed on as I have the 360 version. Then I picked up a Zombies Ate My Neighbors Genesis case (no game or manual) for a dime. I paid the lady a quarter, though, as I didn't feel like waiting for her to get change. She had a case for RBI 4, but I passed. After that, my dad and I stopped at the Salvation Army and they had a nice bit of SNES stuff. I let him pick through it as nothing interested me that I didn't have. SMW (I have a copy, my dad has two copies and my sister has a copy despite her not having a SNES.) and Donkey Kong Country (I have a copy, my dad has two copies) were left laying. As were Pagemaster (I own it, sadly) and Super Black Bass (my dad has it) as well as an old Madden and a cleaning kit. I did have him pick up Super Mario All-Stars despite us each having a copy. He also picked up Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye (they had two copies of that) and Super Battleship. Oh, and a Game Genie.

For the first time that I can remember, i'm actually playing Pokemon Silver. Was never really interested in it, but with my brother getting HeartGold and me wanting to play it, I found his copy of Sliver lying around. Can't Pokemon developers make it so you can have multiple save slots?

I remembered that With my Super Game Boy came this really awesome master sword poster for Nintendo Power. So I'm thinking of putting it up behind my Computer later.

I wish I still had my NES, and my Sega (w/32X). I also miss having a C64. I know I will never have all 3 again, and would settle for any of the 3 with the games that I had for it.

Right now I got some classic games for the Mame Plus + emulator. In Mame emulators this one is pretty cool because it does in fact have the HQ dither filters. I looked for a Mame emulator for a long time that had those. It makes the games look really nice. The game I most recently played was Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. Its a sidescroller made by Capcom. If its a Capcom sidescroller based on any comic you KNOW its going to be violent. Enemies explode when you throw grenades at them. Its not as violent as the Punisher though.

I got a box with some C64's and C128's in it, although I don't have any discs left to my knowledge. I got my first C64 with a handful of games and a monitor for free at a computer show in the late 90's. Dude said his wife told him if he came home with more stuff than he left with, not to come home and he built a new computer while he was there. I really wanna find an Amiga someday. I've never actually seen one, however, which is weird as they made them not too far from here. Apparently, a lot got shipped over to Europe.

I just recently bought all of the EA NHL games. Only 95 has given me trouble, even after several cleanings. I'm still waiting for the seller to get back to me on that one.

I'm not really much of an old cartridge collector, and got rid of the vast majority of them long ago. Especially with the living situation becoming what it is, I can't hold onto things like that anyway. I'm not sure if I have any regrets when it comes to that, though. I'm OK with emulating cart games (especially the Genesis/Megadrive), though it DOES feel odd with disc games.
Which means what I TRULY regret is having got rid of my Saturn years ago. Saturn emulation is an inexact science because of the multiple processors (and general lack of interest in it from Western programmers). Guardian Heroes was truly one of the greatest beat-em-ups ever created.
Now, PS1 discs, I still sorta collect (I say sorta, because I don't have cases/manuals anymore, they had to be jettisoned in a previous move.) I have most of what I'd want for that system, aside from a few specific titles (Gradius Gaiden, Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken, Breath of Fire 3, and Deception 3), but all of them would go for far too much for me to really be able to drop the kind of money I'd have to in order to get them.
