To be fair, New Moon is a much better film than Wolfman.

TLFan should watch Full House. They had an episode about the Wolfman.

Great, so now the Twilight saga has not only warped what the current youth generation thinks a vampire is/should be, it has also warped their idea of werewolves...... For crying out loud, werewolves were NEVER meant to be sexy! Vampires got away with the seductive/sexy thing because part of the Vampire mythos was the symbolism of Vampirism = sexuality. Werewolves always have and should always be a symbol of mankind's fear of nature. It is a freaking wolf! One of the greatest enemies to humans in the northern part of the western hemisphere. They aren't sexy. And if anything, and this may come as a shock to Twilight fans, Twilight was NOT the first thing to have sexy werewolves. Remember the Underworld films that, all but the prequel, came out before Twilight was a major thing? That had sexy werewolves, but at least they kept a balance between the sexy and the psychotic. Yes the Underworld werewolves were sexy, but they are still clearly blood thirsty killers. Twilight has changed the mythos of Vampires and Werewolves forever.....and for all the wrong reasons..... This is why you don't publish fanfiction! Damn it! And just to defend the vampire side of things:

Ignorance is no excuse. Harry Bleeping Potter has a were-wolf, and that was a huge pop-culture phenomenon that's not even 10 years old (movies, not books)

Further proof that no matter how inane, asinine, or downright retarded your statements are, someone on the Wrestlecrap forums will blindly defend them. Go Internet White Knights, GO! Defend the majesty of ignorance!!!
I swear if this letter said the wolfman sucked because Benicio Del Toro is a dirty Puerto Rican, one of these guys would say "It's not their fault they don't like Puerto Ricans, they probably never met a nice one!"

How on god's green is a wolf an enemy of a human? An animal that almost never attacks people, and has so few recorded fatalities. Deer intentionally kill people more than wolves do.
Sorry Koda, I work in outdoor education and this type of comment upsets me greatly.
Also, How did everyone seem to miss the part in the letter that said the writer knew it was a remake? That makes them waaaaaay dumber.

Taylor Lautner Fan Letter To Universal: Your Wolfman Ripped Off Twilight"To whom this may concern: This movie was a complete waste and I feel that it offends ALL Twilight Fans around the world, that including myself. For one, it was a COMPLETE remaking of the Wolf Pack from the Twilight Saga: New Moon. It gives the werewolves a bad name and makes them look like some deformed mutation of a rabid dog. I actually started to like werewolves after seeing Jacob Black and all his awesomeness on the big screen at the movies. That was until I saw your crappy remake of what you call to be a "were wolf". I don't see how you live with yourself for making it the way you did. If I made this movie, I would be ashamed to even admit that I owned it. How can a werewolf be killed with a silver bullet? Better yet, have you saw the transformation of the man that is "supposed" to be the wolf? He sits in some chair and his entire body turns in to some mutated freak. If you would watch the transformation of Jacob Black, (Taylor Lautner) he doesn't come close to looking as fake, cheap and or mutated as the wolf man. You tell me, who looks to be the better werewolf. Your stupid Wolf Movie didn't even make the top Movie for the charts; Valentines Day WITH TAYLOR Lautner! Get that this is MY oppinion and I felt I wanted to express it because I saw that your email was on your site. I wanted to let you know this is what i thought of the wolf man that sucks. FREAKIN LAUTNER DID! " www.latinoreview.com/news/open-letter-to-universal-your-wolfman-ripped-off-twilight-9247 *Finds person, punches them out* This is one of those times when the teachings of Ghandi and MLK need to take a backseat. This person needs to catch an ass-whooping yesterday.

Deer can be friggin' evil. No kidding. I read of a case where a deer in the rut gored a guy off his riding lawnmower (John Deere I am betting). This horny deer didn't just take on a human, he took on a human on a lawnmower (aka, the most perfect killing machine).

That makes them waaaaaay dumber. Nowadays there are fewer recorded fatalities related to wolves, but that is because the population of the wolf is DRASTICALLY lower than a few hundred, even about a thousand or so years ago. The ancient Greeks and Romans in the countryside were deadly afraid of wolves, for example. Nowadays, sure more deer kill people than wolves, but in the Middle Ages? The Dark Ages? The Classical Era? Wolves were something to be afraid of. Lest we forget one of the oldest tales of a werewolf/lycanthropy comes from ancient Greece where Lycaon the king of Arcadia was turned into a wolf by Zeus for trying to feed Zeus the flesh of Lycaon's son. People in the past have feared the HELL out of wolves and that is where the legend of the werewolf came from a loooooong ass time ago.

You just didn't state it as such and things are different now. I just don't like people being all kinds of afraid of them because of what may have happened (and how much of that was over blown even back then?).

Heck, Buffy had Werewolves. Buffy has only been gone for what? Six years?
That's like a Zombie Movie Fan complaining the Haitian Folk Religion ripped 28 Days Latter off.
Technically, The Amish should have Werewolf myths. They are ethnically German. They do live in rural areas. They are part of a society that closed themselves off around the time that everyone belived in such things.
Skin Changer is the Sports Entertainment of Werewolves.
Yeah, the Wolves today are nothing like the wolves of yesteryear. Wolves would raid livestock, towns and feared nothing. Their boldness resulted in them getting shot when guns were invented. The Wolves that remained today survived because their ancestors were timid and afraid of humans. You have to realize that firearms have played a role in animal behavioral evolution.

I love wolves, always have. Hell, I love all animals. I even like cockroaches and other arthropods that usually make people's skin crawl. Just saying that the werewolf came from man's primal fear of predators and the other dangers of nature. It is one of the only mythological creatures that shouldn't be sexy-fied.
